In this easy cooking video, I cook a beef chuck roast in my slow cooker. I seasoned the outside of the meat with kosher salt and Johnny’s Seasoned Pepper …
Where the seasoning?👀🤔😫 lol
Your roast…looks good and apparently to your taste. However, I always add a chopped onion, minced garlic (then pierce the roast and plunge those pieces into the meat). Following that, I add a few stalks of celery, bell pepper, carrots and finally red potatoes. If I have beef broth, I add a cup of that, if not, I just use water. Finally, I add a tablespoon of black pepper and a dash of salt – Put the lid on the croc pot and cook it for a/b 8hours, till tender.
Doing this tonight, right now thanks for your video. Your dog is cool as hell
Looks wonderful!
Good, but would be so much better with a quick sear before putting in the crock pot
OK I just put my roast in and followed your recipe. I'm giving it the 10 hours. Let you know. OMG! Divinely delicious! So easy.
You really should sear it before sticking it in the slow cooker. Makes a world of difference
Just put mine in the slow cooker! First timer! Went and bought the cooker and roast yesterday can’t wait for dinner now.
Dude , thanks I have always cooked mine for 7 – 8 hrs. and it been grate for me but my grandmother moved in a few months ago and she's 94 and said it was tuff for her . So ok now what… 10 hrs. it is on the next one . I do put my taters and onion carrots in while I'm crockin it . I think I'll wait till the 5 hr. mark to add them should be fine to just pull the meat out and put the roots on the bottom beef back on top ???
looks dry and tuff😕
Ughhhhh what’s that song?!?! I always forget
WOW! SIMPLE YET BEAUTIFUL. PROBABLY THE BEST LOOKIN POT ROAST I'VE SEEN

So if I were to put this on low without liquid and went to work it would be ok?
It's probably not gonna be tender in a skillet, huh? Haha. Even if I leave it out to room temp.
AWSOME! The meat makes great street tacos. Got mine marinated tonight. Then a simple sear on the skillet. The the cockpot. Good video!
Awesome !
Reduce your liquid and make gravy.
My dog doesn't chew anything either if it fits completely in his mouth. I once threw him a baby back rib bone and he caught it mid- air and swallowed it whole then stood there looking at me wagging his tail waiting for another one.
Also have seen him follow my sons pet rat and eat the poop as soon as it fell out of its ass.
Dog ain't right.
what was the temp?
Wow – looks great!
Yummy absolutely NO seasonings also could've browned it then place in Crock-Pot.
Dang man that looks amazing! I did a roast a couple weeks ago and i didn't wait another hour. You solved my issue! Just let it cook for a little longer. Thanks for sharing!
Did you flip at all?
Yep, I think you were misinformed. Although you might find a prime cut of rump roast that will roast pretty nicely, anything less IMO, isn't worth roasting. Braising is the best method, I believe, for cooking a rump roast.
I think you can rescue the remaining left-overs. I'd go through it and cut out as much of the objectionable elements of gristle etc. and cut it up into thin strips or, if necessary, bite size pieces before submitting it to a braise and, perhaps, use it in a stroganoff or something similar. You could also braise it and prepare a nice biscuit and gravy breakfast or use it over mashed potatoes.
so this is why my wife can never cook a chuck roast. she puts liquid and potatos in with it…. then doesn't cook it nearly long enough. she's gunna have to put the potatos in when the meat is almost tender
Bell pepper, onion, celery
I do this on a bed of sliced onions it will cook n marinate in the onion fuzed juices. Deeeelicious!!!!😋
Chuck Roast once visited the Virgin Islands. They are now The Islands.
Nice!
I can’t wait to do this with my 4 pound roast hehe. Thanks for sharing!!
Oh my gosh sir, thank you so much! Not only do you have a pleasant speaking voice, but this video is under 5 minutes! I just skipped 3 vidoes on this subject 'cause they talk too dang much!
Also, how could we not love a guy who brings in Annie the taste test dog!
No quartered potatoes, sweet onions, and carrots?
I bought a half cow and got so many unfamiliar cuts. This video helps out so much.
Thank you.
AWESOME dad.. you are the best! God bless you ❤
Why you don't add water
