Finally, I get a chance to watch the video. I'm heading home after my visit with my busy grandson. He's a busy school therapy 5 days a week. I enjoyed the cooking video. I'm going to have to try this with chicken because I don't hardly eat beef. I do want to pick up me some plantains. 🙌🏽

Ahhh sweet baby sounds! This was a great video and you made it look so simple. You were right- very different from American beef stew. I LOVE tomatoes so I'm thinking this is gonna be a hit. (May have to substitute the scotch bonnet for another pepper because I don't recall seeing them in my grocery.)

I agree o. Jollof and all these other rices are great but white rice and stew is still king!
I’m always intrigued by how different people make their stews and the variety in tastes. So good.

Loved the recipe. Pretty similar to how I cook mine too.

i always enjoy watching other africans cook their native foods. Im from ghana and we add oil first and fry blended onions then fry the tomato. May i ask why you put butter in the rice? is it for flavor or does it make it fluffier?
