Can someone who grew up in eastern Asia help me understand this: What is with all the cute faces on things you eat? In the west it seems a bit cruel as you do not want to hurt the cute thing but you do it. Is it that it is a funny contrast between cute and viciousness? Is it the food is made to be eaten and thus happy to be eaten? I do not understand.

I'm not going to lie, but seeing the bears melt is a little unsettling, especially the chocolate bear at the end. I have to ask, though. What are the eyes and nose made of for the soup versions of the bears?
