I’m so delighted that l stumbled across your Channel, I love! I grew up on Rice-A-Roni the San Francisco treat! I remember when it was sale, 5 for a $1 ! My Mom would stock up on it. Basically it was the Ramen Noodle of the day.

I learned from an Indian lady how to cook basmati rice in the pressure cooker. She said the secret is to lightly sautΓ© the rice in oil first. This helps to keep the rice from sticking together so it stays separated and fluffy. For 1 cup rice, well rinsed, she uses 1ΒΌ cups water, PCs for 7 minutes and does a QR. Prior to this method, my rice never cooked well in my pressure cooker and I gave up. I've made it several times as the lady from India recommended, and it has turned out great every time. Also, fideo noodles could be used, which is just like the tiny noodle in Rice a Roni and is very convenient. I am definitely going to try your rice dish. As always, I can count on your recipes to be flavorful and I have never been disappointed. Thank you so much for all of your time and effort to create and share wonderful meals. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

The Herb and Butter RiceaRoni is my favorite, im going to try this recipe, sans the garlic as well as adding a bit more butter and orzo pasta, as that is in the original one. Heres hoping it works, as the Herb and Butter isnt offered in Canada any more. Love your recipes, happy your channel popped up on my feed.

I made this in my foodi but it was an epic fail! I have never used the steam function. I set it to vent & steam for 7 minutes. I assumed it would turn off automatically after 7 minutes. Mine did not and I wasn’t paying attention to the time. I turned it off and it took forever to release the pressure. When the pin finally dropped and I removed the lid, The rice was burned to the pan. Do you think my foodi is malfunctioning

I made this recipe after watching. I added ginger paste along with the garlic. Thank you very much for a nice recipe, as well as your clear teaching and demonstrating.

I want the recipe! I will be saving this video. I loved rice a roni as a kid but now I hate buying side dishes that are boxed. I usually make all my stuff crom scratch.
