Hey friends! We’ve had a week of cold weather (well as cold as it gets in North Carolina anyway) and that called for a nice big pot of homemade chili in my dutch …
I didnt even know that dollar tree had hamburger patties wow it looks good!
There are people who don’t put beans in their chili? Isn’t that taco soup? Haha!
I also use black and red kidney beans in my chili!
I get the Bugles, but I'm more a Frito guy – or round tortilla chips with lime.
3:48 – lesson learned. any "pre-packaged meat" at Aldi (like burgers, etc.) – RUN AWAY….terrible taste, full of junk…go fresh when you can. Now their frozen veggies, GREAT! And they dehydrate well!
I am learning so much!
Between Dollar Tree/Dollar General and Aldi, unless i didn't live with other people, i would be fine with 2 1/2 dogs for under $50 a week. THANK YOU! (oh, and i can't live without my instant pot anymore!)
Nice job 👏
I'm sorry chili without beans is just meat sauce chili has to have beans
Good
At this point I hit "like" on your videos before even watching them. Another good one!
Looks awesome. Not digging the hair, it's too much in your face, pull it back it will look so nice.
Im Australian but I love Chilli Dogs, i like my chilli a lil bit saucy so the sauce coats all the hotdog and just a bit of cheese on top. I used to always buy Stagg brand Chilli but I think they stopped selling it cause I haven't seen it in ages.
I am from Texas I like both kidney bean or no beans in my chili. Needs some pickle relish. A friend made deer chili. It was good.
I like Chilli with Avocado .Greek yoghurt. Grated cheese, and Macaroni, I'm Australian so don't get mad.
Looks good my favorite At Christmas time is Ham Chilli, I put the Ham in a food processor. And give it a Quick pulse, ( not minced just small chopped) and fry it.
I always add some dark chocolate, sugar, and half of a cup of strong coffee.
You're adorable 😍
Dollar tree has fries too so you could make chili cheese fries yum!
These Dollar Tree videos are great!
In another video you mentioned that you are from S. N.J?
Have a similar pan but have problems keeping it looking white like that – it looks stained especially since browning some pork chops; scrubbed and scrubbed – not coming out. 🙁
I always make a huge pot of chili for my husband’s family whenever we visit them in France. Served with a crispy French baguette 🥖 straight from the boulangerie…. It’s always a hit! So exotic! 😄
Wow that will last y'all a while with just 3 people. Well done! I'm from Texas and love beans in my.chili. especially because I'm feeding a family of 8.☺️
yuuummmm that looks delish. i love hormel and wolf chili and i love love love to put chili on top of spaghetti noodles and smashed up saltine crackers. happy holidays!
You said you were in Atlanta… where are you from?
These videos are especially helpful for those living in food deserts – I had no idea dollar tree even had half the ingredients you include in some of your recipes. Genius idea to use the Burger Patties as ground beef for the chili!
I'n not on a dollar tree budget but I find your videos so helpful, informative, and enjoyable to watch. You have taught me so much- how to save money on food, how to stretch ingredients, how to repurpose food, and also some great recipes. You never know what life will throw at you, so I appreciate how prepared you have made me feel should I ever be in that situation.
And I love that you're taking the stigma away from cheaper food options. Everything you make looks delightful and well balanced, and you have transformed my way of thinking that healthy and tasty meals don't have to cost a lot.
Thank you so much
Thanks for showing how to be creative with all of your items. Smart decision with the dried vs canned beans. Please keep making videos! LovefromFL 💕
Another great creative video Lisa! Thank you. I hope you and Andrew have a wonderful Christmas and a joyous New Year together.
Very nice , as always .
You know you're an adult when you love a special grocery store. you also know you're an adult when the same place remodels and you don't know where anything is at and it makes you sad, HAHAHAHAHA!
Mmmmmm love me some Home made chili! I Know what I'm doing for work lunches this week over some Rice!
That looks amazing!
I've never had the DT beef patties. I've been reluctant to try them based on a few videos I've seen. But I think they would be a good option for chili. Usually when I am making our "budget chili," I opt for a three-bean chili with kidney, black, and pinto beans, tomatoes, and a bag of the pepper-onion mix. Plus whatever seasoning I have on hand. Yummy and cheap!
That's was pretty good video
That chili looks so good right now with all the cold snowy weather we've been having in my area. I'm also not picky about chili, I've never had one I didn't like.
Thanks Lisa Dawn! This is a good representation of DT options. I always enjoy your channel. Keep the great content coming. Thanks for sharing! 🙂🍲
It’s good over rice as well. Looks good
Looks super good!!
What a lovely young lady you are, teaching people how to eat well on a budget, but a healthy diet !! KUDOS!!
