I must have an older model foodi. Mine doesn't have the dehydrate option. I wonder if the keep warm function might work? I'll have to check and see. I'd love to make this bread!

Every one in life needs to feel and work (knead) dough to understand its wonderful sensation. Sour dough 1 tbs water to 1 tbsp flour…by weight
remove half every day that it is active. Otherwise put it in the fridge and upon using a half…add 3 tbsp water to 3 tbsp flour or as much needed to double
the batch again. Leave it on the fridge over night and then place it in the refrigerator if not using. I would also try using a higher temp for baking. And yes there is such a thing as over proofing your bread….an an hour at 150 degrees will do just that.

    3 questions, please:

    1. Do you use vent or seal position for the cover?
    2. My dough never got pliable no matter how long I kneaded. Is it possible that my flour was too old?
    3. I've seen other proofing recipes using the yogurt function. Do you know if in order to proof you would use the "Ferm" feature or bypass "Ferm" to the yogurt mode? TIA

This looks amazing! Thank you so much for your time and instruction! I love how you teach! I would like to make whole wheat bread. Can I substitute whole wheat flour for the flour in this recipe or do I need another recipe all together? Thank you.

Hi Louise, since I've tried and loved your regular bread recipe I was hoping you might have a recipe for whole wheat flour bread in the foodi? Could I just substitute whole wheat flour into this recipe? Something tells me that I'm not going to just be able to do that. Any suggestions or recipes? Thanks

Hi Louise. Just made your bread. Wow. Fun to make, delicious to eat.
Some notes for everyone if making it the Ninja Foodi Smart-Lid model OL-701.
Change the bake time to 20 minutes, down from thirty. This machine has greater wattage hence quicker baking (it would seem).
Also I did not cover the bread during either of the proofing steps. No problem.
A terrific recipe. Keep in mind it does differ from the Ninja Kitchen recipe for this model. Nevertheless, it came out absolutely perfect. Thanks for an excellent video, as usual.

This question may have been asked, but I couldn’t find the answer.
On the kneading process, if I choose to use my stand mixer with the dough hook, would I use the same time (15 minutes)?

Just looked into the ninja food processor for its features and one was a Dough function to help us folks who found it intimidating to do. Have you made a bread video using the 601/701's Proofing Feature. If not Could you do one when you have the time.? Great job as usually. Made your sausage and pepper recipe was great. .
