I agree! The state of my space affects my state of mind too. I feel I can’t function unless things are cleaned up and put away.
I also read some science blog where the person shared hydrogen peroxide is the best thing to combat germs, aside from bleach.

I have autoimmune issues too and had horrible eczema on my hands since I was a teenager. I was always breaking out constantly. My skin looked so raw, rough and inflamed, and I had to constantly use steroid creams to try to control the itching and inflammation. I always thought I was allergic to something in the soaps I was buying.

But then I moved to a different area, and my eczema vanished. The strange thing is that when I returned back to my parent’s house, I noticed that if my hands touched their water, even without soap, I would break out in the same horrible hand eczema all over again. I thought this was strange, and so I decided to wash my hands and dishes with Berkey and bottled water for a week. I also put a filter on my shower head. Imagine my surprise when my eczema disappeared!

It wasn’t ever the soap, it was the tap water of the city my parent’s lived in!

I’ve never seen any research on this, but I always want to tell people who have hand eczema to try washing their hands with bottled/filtered water for two weeks and just see if the eczema goes away. Then you’ll know your allergic to something in your city’s tap water.

As a person who had chronic eczema, let me tell you, it was life-changing when I learned this.

I love those gloves for dishwashing too!
Didn’t hear you mention how often you’re making these cleaners but hydrogen peroxide decomposes when exposed to light. Having it in tinted glass and storing them in a dark cupboard probably slows this down but it’s probably best to making any recipe that uses hydrogen peroxide fresh as needed or switch to bottle that light can’t shine through.
