I just got my Presto electric pressure canner and I'm terrified to use it. It's been sitting on a shelf for 3 weeks now and it's collecting dust while I work up the courage to use it. Lol. It may be there a few months more.

Good job on the pantry. With the big pepperoni try cutting it into 6 wedges before you put it on the English Muffins. That way you are only cutting muffin and cheese. It makes it easier and gives you a little guide to help cut the slices once cooked…

When I can something new I try to make a small jelly jar and I try that shortly after making. That's how I found out one batch of my pickle relish was good and the second batch was too salty for my low salt diet. My brother got those and loved them.

I know exactly what you're talking about though Mama Baird about being leery of trying your own canned foods. I like to ferment cabbage in the cupboard and make my own sauerkraut and the very first time I done that I was kind of afraid to try it. But I did didn't get sick and it was excellent so now I'm not so hesitant to try my own food. I figure if it's bad you'll know right away 👍
