Did this to fill a freezer every year for my Mom and Dad. Once we all got old we just froze four or five, husks and all in gallon freezer bags. We stacked up more than two dozen bags. We took a bag or two out for a couple hours before dinner. We husked it to boil quickly or put the whole ones, rinsed in water and placed on the higher rack of the BBQ. So much easier and just as tasty.
It's a bit taboo to use a microwave, but my family always cuts it off the cob raw or using corn boards, microwaves it in large bowls for 11-14 minutes, then bag, cool (refrigerator or cold water), and freeze. It's a lot faster and you need much less space. We could do 50+ dozen a day this way.
I never knew how.my grandmother did this….it was almost like a super secret magic spell that some day I hoped she would tell me but she didn't get to it before she passed away, so this video definitely makes me feel like shucking corn and having a corn freezing party!
We used to freeze fresh Zellwood corn in the husk. Just fold over the tassels and rubber band that end. Toss into the freezer and voilá! … take out when ready & cook for “fresh” corn on the cob, all year ‘round!
There is a better way. 60+ yrs as an Iowan. Microwave in the husk for 4 mins- turn once. Cut the end off as soon as its done. Easily pull the entire husk & silks off at once. Moisture is an enemy=mushy. Slice corn hot off the cob to a sheet pan lined with silpat or parchment paper. Freeze the pan. This gives you IQF kernels that pour out of the bag instead of solid mass. Trust the process.
I used to help my mom cut corn with blanching. We would cut and mix field corn(more starch{thickens}) and sweet corn we would also scrape all the juice from the cob. When we cook it for a meal we would and jalapeno and serrano peppers, so good.
May take forever, but I'd rather tall all the corns off one by one. I hate "destroyed" corns
Ideja kako smrznuti kukuruz tako korisna za domacinstvo

Where did you buy those reusable bags?
When he said "your own corn", he got my attention then he lost 😂🤣

You can also just freeze it whole after removing the silk.
You didn’t ‘milk’ the cob! That’s the best part!
Cut downwards for safety, cut upwards for fun
Good sweet corn hardly even needs to be boiled.
Hey great idea, thanx!!!❤
"If you want it" I do, I do.
He seems delightful
This guy has some nice bags.. where do I find.. Amazon..
Would love to at its current price of $2.50 each it’s cheaper to buy canned or frozen.
LOVE your videos!! So helpful…thanks!
Nice 👍🙂
That's pretty cool
Hey bud what kind of a freezer bag you using?
Since I live in the number one corn corn producing state in the world, I think I got this
This seems a bit sus. Cooking it that long is way past blanching. Thats more than you cook it to eat it fresh
I will try
I love this man and HATE that you have that kitchen..❤❤
Thanks….this is inspiring…big help really🙂

My Mom canned vegetables & we had some to eat all winter.
If you bake it in oven 400d 20 mins it comes off cob cleaner. Less waste
Next time add a cup of whole milk in with the corn & it will bring out so much more sweetness to the corn

PSHHHHH. We buy organic corn and just put them in bags and freeze entire ears, as is. They last for YEARS and boil up as though fresh.
GMO?

Do you have a cooking guide cause you should
Leave husk on bake in oven 325 for 30-45 minutes boom
Just buy tinned sweetcorn
I just did this today with corn from a local farm. Absolutely love to enjoy fresh tasting corn in the winter months
Don't forget to take the back of your knife and scrape the cream out of it!
“Cut down for safety”
I’m gonna go cut up.. see you later
I'm more interested in where you got those bags I know how to freeze corn but I've never seen those reusable bags
