Wonderful instructions! Bone broth is such a trend now that it's become difficult finding a truly informative video. Thank you for explaining what I need to look for to know the broth is done so I don't waste my time! You're the first one I've heard say to make sure the bones crumble. It makes sense!
I am from Borneo and am new to bone broth cooking. How much bone broth should I use to make one cup/bowl of bone broth? Do I need to heat it up?

Thanks! All questions answered except ; is that a 4 quart crock? Also, the marrow from longer bone that you scoop out-I blended it in with vitamix. ….cooked it more than 48 hrs…. is that good method-to blend?
Finally, a demonstration that actually shows how the bones need to be brittle and the confidence to carry on past the 24 hour mark because the bones were still hard. I have a crock pot and now, I can follow the directions and feel good that I know what I am doing!

Thanks for the proper instructions. I wouldn't have put the bones in the oven and I would have just cooked it for 24hrs out getting the best out of it.
thank you for explaining the foul taste and how to avoid it. your the only one i'v seen who has explained this. i agree with Claire Berube, this is the most helpful video i'v found as well.

All I simmered with the bones was bones and water. Oh, I did put some kinda acid – white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, lemon juice. Only one kind of acid per pot.
I called my local Whole Foods the other day and asked if I could get bones from them. The butcher I talked to said he had them, but only lamb bones. I asked If I could get 10 pounds and he told me he'd give them to me. Went over to find he'd set up a box with 40+ pounds of lamb bones. I've roasted them, then put in six BIG pots to simmer for 48 hours. Talk about GOOD! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Do you not worry about cooking your broth for that long a period with that crockpot liner? I worry that the heat would cause the chemicals from the liner to somehow leach into my broth? What's your opinion? Thank you.
Hi, A.G. !! I'm happy to report that I have (finally) gotten started…and it is just now starting to cook. I went out & bought all of the required ingredients (including the c.p., Mason jars, and strainer)….and I'd like to say that your video here has been very instrumental in helping me to do this step-by-step. Everything you put in YOUR crock pot is now cooking in mine !! So….in 24 hrs. from now, I'll be lifting up the lid to check on it….

Thank you. You have explained all the steps in easy understandable terms, without skipping any. I especially liked seeing you explaining how to roast the bones and showing me how the bones should be at the end of the process (seeing you break them apart…) Overall the most helpful video on the subject I've found.

With this video u mentioned it would be better to roast the bones 1st. Yet in a BB video u did 3 months later (July 2015), u cooked the bones raw. Did u change your mind that roasting is the better way to go 1st b4 u add them to the crockpot?
You can use any kind of bone, right?ย Would chicken, turkey, or pork be just as healthy?
