I took care of a lady who was a great cook. She taught me how to make zucchini stew. It is something to make when the garden is going crazy. It had peppers , onion, tomatoes, zucchini, and pepperoni. It flavors the stew. Season with garlic, Italian seasoning and serve with parm cheese.

P.S. Your soup looks wonderful! Lots of bright colors and great nutrition. I freeze most of the soups I make in just the right size for two servings. That way, we always have a quick meal to heat up on those days when you are just too tired to cook. Particularly wonderful in the winter. š
I pretty much knew how to make this, but the one thing new I learned was the idea of adding cut up sweet potatoes!….boy, I love those! So much better for you than white potatoes. I don't know why I never did this…I think we sometimes fall into a rut and just go on auto pilot for a lot of things. That's why I watch so many different youtube channels. I am always learning something new. Thanks for sharing, and taking the time to go through all this. š
I try to always add squash, broccoli, & cauliflower to my soups. That's 3 of our favorite veggies around here.
I put bell peppers in my chili, so I think it's fine in a soup too. I made Chili yesterday. I fried onions, 2 bell peppers, some carrots, and 3 ribs of celery. I added my ground beef and cooked it all down for a bit, then added the 15 oz can of tomato sauce, the chili seasoning packet, and a can of dark red kidney beans. It is so tasty!!!
Miss Lori, I just made this soup! Oh my goodness it is Awesome! Only thing I changed was I put ham in the soup! It is soooooo Good. Thank You so much for the recipe! God Bless You!
My first time seeing your channel. A wonderful soup! I am loving your kitchen with that big stove top. I will be trying out your vegetable dry mix soon.
pls don't use the word sustainable – NWO buzzword.
Looks delicious I love soup ššš
Hey, Renae. Check out this gal from here in Arkansas. Down to earth home cooking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0kYn-czUQg
This looks delicious! What's the name of the vegetable dry mix you use in your broth?
I love this! I make a soup that I call The Kitchen Sink Soup. Basically I clean out the fridge and add a few things. Never tastes the same twice in a row. Keep up the good work. God Bless You and Mr. Brown.
Way too much salt in it.
I sure would love a bowl of that soup! Mrs Lori where did you find your picture of your rooster over your sink? I would love to be able to find one. It is so pretty! Thanks
Love Love the soup recipe and love the slide show š Family is a blessing from our Father.
Question please ma'am, in the Mac & Chez videos would you please tell me what kind of pan you used? I looked on your Amazon storefront several times but can't seem to match it up! Help, please. Thank you!
Your channel was the first I subscribed to when I first started watching YouTube 3 years ago (I know I am late) I have learned so very much. Thank you for your time to teach us about the "ole ways".
May you have a blessed Thanksgiving with that beautiful family.
Do people in the south eat potato soup?
Miss Lori, Thank you for sharing pictures of your lovely family! Your daughters are very pretty! Do you have 3 girls and 1 son? I enjoyed very much! Happy Thanksgiving!
I make what I call leftover soup. Any veggies and meats leftover in the fridge plus supplemented with pantry items like rice or pasta and maybe some canned beans if I donāt have leftovers. For meat usual have leftover chicken and/or ham (I rarely have hamburger) I also try to keep a variety of spices and herbs so one time the soup might have an Italian flavor and the next time a Mexican flavor.
I love this! San Francisco Bay Area dweller with deep country roots. Still do this to this day!
I would love to see how you grow and maintain your celery. I am in gardening zone 8a in NE GA and have always wondered if it needed cover in the winter or shade in the summer.
We love y'all too, Lori
My grandma would say she was making a soup with everything but the kitchen sink in it. Lol. It was amazing.
looks delicious thanks for sharing have a blessed day
These truly are the best meals!
We always called oursā¦.Heinz 57 Soup. Add a pan of cornbread āin a cast iron skilletāā¦ā¦and YUM!
Looks delicious
I love rutabaga in soups/stew. It takes longer than carrots, potatoes and celery so I always put those in at least 20 minutes before the rest of the veggies.
I like to add rice or pasta to soups separately. I just find that the soup freezes better without them. If Iām not going to eat it all up within a day or so I portion it into servings and freeze. If not putting potatoes in there, which donāt freeze well either, try hominy and/or frozen cauliflower. And maybe a little frozen corn. I nearly always add cumin, thatās a favorite of mine.
I don't know what nutritional yeast is or tomato powder I've never heard of either one what is that and where do I get it soup looks delicious I love your videos
I watch my salt also, watch it closely while I'm using it
Those colors are wonderful, looks like Christmas in a pot.
