Are you doing any more chef recommended kitchen equipment videos looking to replace most of my kitchen equipment over the next year loved the previous videos found them extremely helpful?
"The combination of butter and miso is actually quite unusual and not one neccessarily that you would see in places like Japan" – Actually, butter is the classic "oil" that goes with miso ramen.
This might be my favourite challenge yet! I love learning the tips to reduce food waste when you have a bunch of random things in your fridge/pantry! 🙂
Please take this as I mean for it to be understood: Your 'normals' are so well trained and experienced in the kitchen now, that there isn't much they can't do, and very well! They're fun to watch, their presentations are yummy and creative, and I'd hate to see any leave the show. However, ….
SUGGESTION: Keep all the present crew, but then……have a fresh batch of kitchen 'NEWBIES' who y'all will bring along the basics and 'secrets' that the more experienced chef has at their fingertips. There's room for all levels of kitchen technicians, right? Lets see perhaps…teens? or, bachelors with fear of kitchen equipment, or how to slice thru meats and their squeamish tendencies???, or…how to choose foods from the market??? (Some of us older folks (cough-cough), need such foundational info, too). : )
"miso with butter isn't something you'd see in Japan" I'm actually pretty sure it is, I think there is a Japanese pasta dish that does miso and butter as their sauce
What gets me with this GCC is that Ebbers OBVIOUSLY has had a sh_tload of time to mentally prepare and organise his recipe/s which takes (what i think, at least) 95% of the "challenge" out of the whole point. Give him the 30 mins prep – but WITHOUT seeing (honestly!) the groceries first! Then we´ll see what he´s made of – and don´t not show it if he effs up. Lol 🙂
I love the concept of making the onion the main feature of the meal. I often have a bare fridge and a couple of onions in the store cupboard by the end of the week and end up ordering takeaway because I can't see a meal there. I have miso and polenta in my store cupboard too, so this is a great way to make a delicious meal from the bare minimum ingredients.
The background music makes it unwatchable.
Grocery Shopping Challenge but it's the Normals that have gone shopping and Ebbers has to make dishes on the spot
Dumplings 😝 soggy bread makes me gag.
Is Ben actually a qualified chef
oh my god… weird things happened in my brain and my groin when you dished up that onion/miso/polenta masterpiece…
Ebbers clearly channelling his inner nigella this year with the mee-crow-wav-ey and now "passionate" oven checks
As an American Southerner, Ben's description of a cobbler is fascinating 🤔
What grater are they using? Making light work of that parmesan 🤔😋!
That polento and miss combination is really intriguing!!! I will have to try it!!!!
"Stretch your meat and celebrate the onion." Words to live by.
I love how gay Ben is. Hilarious
The music when Ben dropped and Barry and Jamie making fun of him was absolutely hilarious 🤣

Made the onion, polenta last night – brilliant. My spouse will eat polenta now! Chicken stew tonight, but gluten free.

Did Ben stop himself from saying hob and say stove instead? 🤔
Thanks so much for the inspiration. I tried my own chicken and leek "cobbler" today, and it was delicious!
2 chicken breast per portion. I use 2 chicken breast to feed 4 people sometimes 🤣

Are you guys actually in the studio while Ben was filming or does he cook and you film your commentary later?
Was watching Ben cook going "oooh I hope they type the recipie", so glad it's in the meal packs app!
I made the chicken Kiev pasta last night and it was superb. Will be making that a regular for sure!

Is the app suitable for a vegetarian living alone?
the miso butter onions is a yum yum for sure

congrats ebbers, you made chicken pot pie!
Chef leaves a plastic spatula in a pan on the hob! Really bad practice there peeps.
Never leave a plastic utensil in a hot pan, they have a tendency to melt.
Also do not leave a metal one in a pan either, they get a bit warm. Freaking heck, basics!
The normals are great cooks, but the normal title really shows with their kitchen management skills 😂
Great vid 🙂
streching your meat wont make it any bigger, just sayin
It amazing how Jamie can express what everyone is thinking with one look …… lol …..much love
