If you are making the rice krispie bars and heating the marshmallows in the microwave, try switching to the stove top, low heat, put the cover on to help melt, stir and recover until melted, add a 1 tablespoon more butter. I stopped using the microwave and also found that they stay krispy longer if they last that long. Peter and Jennifer, when everyone falls sleep and you are camping at home, just go in the house, they will never know.

It was fun to see you prep for camping! We have deemed ourselves past being able to tent camp (my husband has a chronic immune disease) so we actually go cabin camping now! We found rustic cabins (no running water or cooking inside) that cater to to our needs (two beds in a loft and a futon that fold out plus a small fridge and air conditioning)! There is a shower/bathroom at the camp site a little bit away from our cabin. It’s the best of both worlds and we have now been there two years in a row so I think it’s a tradition now! It’s perfect for our family of three and is super restful as it’s on a huge lake!

To add to your small ice cubes take small freezer bags put water in and freeze. These will keep you cubes last longer. Have fun!

My cheap dry shampoo: corn starch in a Parmesan cheese shaker from the dollar tree! Put it in before you go to bed (this goes for all dry shampoo) for best results! Hope that helps!
THIS WILL COME TO LATE BUT HERE IS WHAT WE DO WHEN CAMPING OR DOING TRAVEL SOFTBALL .. WE FREEZE ALL OUR ICE WATERS POWERADE GATORADE ALL PLASTIC BOTTLES then we have nice ice cold food. With our good coolers even in90 degrees heat these last for days.. Do not use old coolers we replace every 3 years. Coolers do break down if you use them a lot. We use ours every weekend from May -October. We tent camped for years then wore out 2 campers during our 42 years of marriage oh the memories we have. Now we are in are early 60’s & looking at our next travel trailer so we can go to Travel softball tournaments & Antique tractor shows all spring summer & fall. Hopefully GOD WILLING when my husband retires in 5 years more camping with all 3 generations of our family of 5.

14:20 Sun Drop is very popular in my part of NC. I grew up drinking it and it is still my favorite but I drink the diet version now.
