Wow!!! 35 yrs ago working as a mechanic in a small shop in a small rural town, used to go to a diner the has been open for almost 90 yrs to get. Chili dogs with shap cheddar tons of onions and a gallon of hot sause!! The dogs were charcoal grilled. I would kill 4 dogs and a large ice tea. Yummie. Thanks for the reminder of happy days.

Funny, I watched this channel for the 🙏 talk not the recipe this Sunday morning. I'm getting ready to go to church. I am a mormon, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We study the Bible. We used to have chili dogs in the fall at least a couple of times on the week-ends on outdoor chore days and during football watching days. The onions would be pre-chopped and we would begin to finish off the open containers of relishes and other goodies left from summer.

I do something similar, the main difference being that I top them with coleslaw. It adds a nice crunch. Try it sometime.
