You could always make a nice lamb stock and use that as a liquid to cook your rice it's even more better than water

As a Greek-American this is one of my favorite dishes. I like to add a poached egg on top or a piece of grilled salmon and call it dinner.
As a Greek-American, I can say this is legit. Except for the cayenne – Greeks don’t use that! Haha. Instead I suggest cumin and chicken broth for flavor. Greeks love to eat this as simple home cooking during the cold winter months.
