This was a typical meal my yiayia would make. I love the added spices. She would use oregano, s&p, olive oil and lots of lemon. I made your recipe. Served with a Greek salad, lots of feta and kalamata olives and fasolakia. One of my favorite meals. Thanks Dimitra for all your Greek cooking and keeping Greek dishes alive! ❤
I made this today. I made a boo-boo. I accidentally took out ground chicken instead of chicken breast. So I had to make chicken meatballs. Next time I'll make it with chicken breast. It was a mistake that came out to be exceptionally really terrific. Everyone absolutely loved it. Next time I use breast…shhhhhh

Looks delicious, we are not fans of a great amount of oregano, so perhaps a couple of pinches of oregano!! Feel oregano overpowers the taste of food in my opinion!!!
We could substitute for another herb perhaps, but i am sure the other herbs and lemon will compensate!
I would serve with pilaf rice and thick yogurt- double carbs !

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. It looks delicious. We have a Greek family member, he married my Niece. When we have family get together we like to offer Greek food in recognition of his heritage as well as food from our heritage, and especially when his family will be coming also. While I do not eat meat, I will make it for family and will just use the seasonings on some tofu and bake that in another pan. This will be a great and easy meal for the night we arrive in the US to see my family as my niece and her family are always excited to see us and come over. We usually order pizza so no one has to cook, but I think this would be better and really does not take much more cooking time. This will be a great surprise. I look forward to making this for them. PS…I also want to take a moment to thank you for using the bowl for marinating even though it adds one bowl to your washing up. So many channels use plastic bags and it drives me nuts as they are unnecessarily using adding to the destruction of our earth.
