I was trying to watch your video but you lost me with the hammock I don't need disgusting pigs and I don't think we need dead animals and good food to make it taste good beans are perfect food without meat and it's death to the soul when you get a pig the Lord said do not touch swine have a blessed day
This breaks all deep south rules. But it still looks good and to each their own. So I can't even hate.
those ham hocks are so overpriced. almost 8 dollars for 2 of them. those beans are expensive instead of cheap using this way of cooking them. we are looking at high inflation. gotta find something cheaper nowadays….
Ty for posting this I bet you cook really good 👍😊 I just made this recipe you put on here I love beans just didn't know what all to put in praying this we'll be good looked it
This looks so yummy Jackie! Can I add pinto and navy beans together?
No
The dogs going to cry because you threw that pig fat away. I would have given it to my vegan neighbors dog . : )
You do it the way I do except I add a little bit of minced garlic. These sure look good.
Great recipe 👍🏽
Mouth watering 😋😋
My mom didn't use pork flavoring she used onions and real ham hocks and yes I love to eat the fat it's the best part. Thanks for making this video.
The only problem I have with this video, is that I can't have a taste!!🤣🤣 that looks so good!!! I lived on beans and corn bread for almost a year, but I still love them. God bless you for sharing your video!! Brings back so many memories!!!
that FAT is the best part !!
Great video! Thank you for sharing.
I like fried chicken wit mines
How much water do you put in when they are cooking the first time around (overnight)?
I had some leftover ham steak with bone, chopped onion, one garlic clove, celery stalk, and two cups chicken broth. I sauteed the vegetables added the broth and beans, then came to YouTube for further guidance. Your dish looks delicious. 😋
Omg I wish I lived close I’d gladly take that ham hock fat and skin. Reminds me so much oh my childhood
Omg the skin is the best part
Mmmm yes us country brothers love some of that fat I will be cooking this tomorrow
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for a nice & very simple recipe. Only problem I had was that I didn't look at the size of beans when I bought, ended up using a 2lb bag. Lol. But it worked out fine.
I will try that for Sunday dinner but I am going to add neck bone
Great recipe….doing it today!
Have mercy Miss soul that recipe was downright lip-smacking delicious
OMG ! Dang, don't throw that fat away ! 🙂
Looks Fantastic 🙏🙏🙏
No seasoning? No onions? No peppers 😢
Look so good…Thank you. Will try this soon…
Have you used the bones and fat to make broth after cooking the beans and ham?
looks great! That's how we here at home cook beans. Except we add garlic bulbs, bay leaves and cumin.
