I just cooked one almost 2 pounds for 45 minutes. on 325 F. Salt and pepper, coconut oil greased, no cover in a glass pan. Came out nice and medium rare, ate the whole thing. It was like a steak. Grass fed beef at Walmart, Jones creek beef is great beef.

So happy you found a local farmer! 🙂 Thats the only way we'll eat meat or eggs. But once you get used to it, there's no going back. 🙂 Same with growing your own food. 🙂 And all the dishes I've made (from your video's) are heavenly!

Thank you so much Miss Phyllis for your YouTube channel and the time you spend creating videos. I watch your videos everyday, every chance I get.

I'm older now (61 yrs). As a girl my mother was emotionally disturbed and struggled to care for us. When I was 16 I was married off to an older man and taken away from my siblings, friends, school, peers, society, whomever.

I do enjoy homemaking but never really had that family experience that I have watching your videos, so thank you so much. You are so folksy and kind.

One of my daughter's enjoys mom and daughter stuff like cooking and homemaking with me. I try but I'm sure I could improve, but now that I watch your videos, I find myself modeling my mother endeavors from your videos. There's just something about women connecting with women. My daughter (the one that enjoys spending time with me) is expecting her first child, so exciting!

Over the years I've adjusted to my life but always wondered about what having a mom and a family might have been like. I know my family but basically we are nothing more than acquaintances, friends on Facebook. crazy but true

Thanks so much and your cooking is great too! I love to bake and cook and especially bake bread. I haven't tried your bread recipes yet because I'm waiting to get bread flour; I've just always used regular bleached all-purpose flour. Yum I'm anxious to see if there really is a difference.

    Thank you again!

    Janet

I am definitely going to try this recipe. Just curious, is there a reason you put the onions in whole? I've always chopped mine, but I'm wondering if it's better to leave them whole after watching this video. Thanks.

I just love chuck roast. I had a grass fed chuck roast from a local farmer, and it was outstanding. Funny thing is, mine didn't take any longer than it usually does. I thought it may take longer too! The flavor was very good, and we liked it a lot. His animals are all out in fields and he raises chickens, pigs, and other animals too. Boy his beef were so big, and you could tell they were well taken care of. I hope to fill my freezer with their beef, chickens and hams this fall. We did buy the chickens and ham, and they were good too. The cost was high, but to me it was worth it, but other grass fed beef has not always been very impressive. This farmers were just right. I guess it depends on finding the right ones. It took me several tries to find the best beef, but in the end, I'm sure glad I kept searching. The best part is, they are right down the road from my beach property, where we will be moving to this fall. One question. I just love that pan you used, and would love to know where I can get one, or who makes it. It's just perfect for so many things. Bless, Sheila
