In southwest Ontario that lamb dish would be $100 plus. I only do it (one, and I don't share) as a special treat and because I have a good relationship with my butcher, who gives me a deal if I buy a lot more at the same time. Maybe I should move to England. Lamb seems to be cheap. Beef short ribs are cheap. Fish is cheap. Or maybe no-one shows Gordon the grocery receipts.

Dear Chef – We definitely need MORE of these recipes. We Americans struggle with the amount of time needed to make some of your regular meals, but if I could get more slow cooker meal recipes and instruction, that would sure help me tremendously. Any chance we could get some slow cooker recipes for Chicken, Roast Beef, & Pork? (We Americans don't eat as much lamb, duck, and things of that nature. We're pretty well stuck on the first three).
