Ooh! I’m really interested in watching this (though I’m firmly in the ‘burbs and keeping goats is nowhere in my future. 😂)! I also had to chuckle at the byline about goats milk products tasting “goaty”. I used to LOVE goats milk cheese, and then after having my son 7 years ago I’ve been super sensitive to the taste of goat and lamb products (it was a pregnancy thing that has decided to stay for good. So sad). 😢 I wish it wasn’t so, as I’m also sensitive to cow’s milk. (Basically I can’t win! 😂) But that’s interesting that the goaty flavor can be due to handling and age; all the goats milk products I’ve had are commercially made, so that might be part of my problem…

I totally get it I was sitting outside on my back deck today eating lunch and reading a book thinking wow what a gorgeous day and thanked the Lord. I've had some hard health issues over the last 15 months so every day I'm thankful for this day the Lord has made let us be glad I'm rejoice in it. Another great video thanks Shayla

I LOVE MAKING MY OWN YOGURT. Can you do a what to do with whey series? I heard you mention the cookbook – I will have to look it up! But I would love to see what your favorite "whey's" are to use whey. #punintended

have you tried the cheese sauce with freshly shredded cheese? Pre shredded has a powder coating to prevent it from clumping so I wasn’t sure if that impacts the results if you don’t have the added powder. We typically buy Tillamook cheese in a big block at Costco and shred it ourselves.
Always so fun to see your goats and I’m excited for the Whey cookbook – I have so much whey and didn’t know what all to do with it! Thanks for sharing about that 😊

Hi! Check out the ingredients in the Tillamook cheese cus they recently changed from the natural rennet to a synthetic one. We discussed this on a recent Doug and Stacy vid. Most of us had no idea. Many called the company about it ….not sure what’s up next. Just an fyi in case u didn’t know! Thank u dear!

I can relate a lot to your statements about thermometers! I tried so many, all different kinds, even thought about trying a construction one but read they are riddled with inaccuracy as well and then finally decided I should try to invest in a more expensive one. I got the 'OXO Good Grips Thermocouple Thermometer, Digital' off of Amazon. It was wayy more than I would have wanted to spend on a thermometer (100$ at the time, though I see it is on sale for a little less than 70$ now). The description claims it is within 0.9 degrees accuracy and it has performed great for me.. Hoping I don't ever have to buy another one! I enjoyed the video, made me want goats even more! Hope you and your family are doing well!

I’ve had goats for 3 years now and had no idea how to start with the milk I’ve made mozzarella and it was a flop. It was that goaty flavor, I kinda gave up. so my pigs have gotten the milk for the past few years. I’m so glad you posted this ❤️ thank you!
