Oh my goodness I am so gonna be making this one I will let you know as soon as I do but it may be a while as I am having my kitchen remodeled so it's been a little bit of chaos around my home lately. Been cooking in the instant pot and air fryer because it's more convenient but I can't wait to get my new stove and I will be on my way to shrimp and grits Glenda Sullivan style. I could just smell the garlic the butter and The Onion all the way from Saint Louis. I love you my friend please take care and make God-bless you in every thought word and deed.

Ok I’m going to comment. Bacon looks fine, not burnt, it’s how mine looks too when I fry it. I use to heat my iron skillet up first, add the raw bacon & it would sizzle & shrink, so I searched it and it does say to start bacon in a cold skillet, your so right! I like grits but never had cheese grits, can you use any type of cheese that’s yellow? I love shrimp 🍤 I buy the bag with 25-50 shrimp bc I can get 3 meals or more, plus my dogs get some shrimp too. I prefer the shrimp pre cooked, cause I like it dipped in cocktail sauce or in stir fry, or in white rice. I love coconut shrimp but hate deep frying. Now the way you served the shrimp and grits, I’d want mine separate, not many things I like to mix together. Weird huh? I see nothing wrong with how you prepared your meal. You put what you want in it. Oh sh*t, some people just want to pick others apart. They either cra cra or jealous!

Good afternoon Glenda. Not all bacon has the same amount of fat or thickness,. Even when I cook large amounts of bacon in my oven, no 2 packages has the same fat to render, and cook time. Your bacon doesn't look burnt to me. I've never had shrimp and grits. I have a friend who lives in Louisiana, I love his gumbo chicken. Looks good. Everything is better with bacon.🥓😋❤

Hi Glenda, I had to get caught up on the vlogs. Your dinner looks so very good. I embarrassed to say I have never had grits. It’s just something that we never grew up with. I’d like to try them sometime. I’m not sure what their flavour is. However, I do love all the other things you had in your meal. I can just imagine those yummy flavours all put together. I would love a frying pan like yours as I know they are amazing to cook with and the flavours are terrific in an iron Skillet. I just watched the garden video where you said you got three meals from it. That’s fantastic! I love cooking once and getting several meals from that one time of cooking. Especially with summer heat. I have to be selective when I’m going to turn the oven on. I prefer to then cook on the stove top, crockpot pot, toaster oven or instant pot that I just received as a gift but have not used. It is an older style that has never been opened as my friend has a larger family and said this was too s,mall for her large family. She was hanging onto it for making smaller thins but then through the years she got others as gifts from family in the larger sizes. So now it’s mine. I just have to learn how to cook with it. I know to be careful of your cupboards with the steam release valve or it can ruin them. So I’m very interested in trying out something in that pit but also a little intimidated with it. Thank you for the recipe as I will save it and give it a try! My guess is the grits take on any flavour and it’s another starch that you can use. I can’t wait to make this. Thanks Glenda.💕

Hi, Glenda! You probably know that down here in the New Orleans area, so many restaurants offer shrimp and grits. But every recipe is different! Some are really good, and some I don't care for. I always have to ask how it's prepared, because you never know what you're gonna get! Lol! ~Leah

That looks good. I didn't know you can mix grits up like that. I can tell you like cooking. I'm not referring to you but I remembered etiquette in a restaurant is if you blow on your food that's an insult to the cook. Just want to make sure none of us do that cause we're all classy if we watch Glenda's videos.

Sorry, can’t stand shrimp… allergic and even smell of it makes me nauseous. So I made stir fry with steak (reduced for quick sale last week) in a wok that is too big for my stove. But tonight I added two onions and it tasted soooo good.

Looks and sounds delicious. I really enjoyed seeing how you cooked the shrimp and grits. I have never eaten grits, but I love cornbread — I wonder if cornbread and grits have a similar corn flavor….

Looks delicious! I made some great fried chicken tonight. I followed the way Maangchi on YouTube does her Korean fried chicken.
She did wings, but I did pieces of cut up chicken thigh. And I only seasoned it with Tony Chachere.
I followed her batter and cooking method. It’s just me and my husband so I did it in a small pot and didn’t use a ton of oil.
He loved it. Best fried chicken I ever made at home.

Glenda you look so pretty today! This dish is one of my husbands favorite, I’ve never made it but when it’s on the menu at a restaurant, that’s what he orders! 🌸

That looks good at least you season your food because Paula Deen can’t cook to save her life. You should have a cooking channel rather than her and you have a southern accident so no excuses FOOD NETWORK!!!
