excellent!!
Success! Exciting times in the coop. I've seen homesteader channels on YouTube where people put ceramic eggs in their boxes to encourage the hens to lay there. Might give the girls an idea of what the boxes are for.
Awww, her first egg! ♥️ (Btw, I agree that you should refrigerate your fresh eggs.)
Congrats, Ghost! Great job! You've made your owner proud! 😊
I love your setup for your chickens! Very nice!
Awesome
The "smudge" on the egg is called "the bloom." You can leave them on the counter top withOUT washing the bloom off. The "bloom" is a natural seal will keep the egg from allowing bacteria in, and will prevent the egg from losing a lot of moisture. Wash the bloom off when ready to use.
I love their little cooing noises. I miss my chickens!
Wasn't expecting that today,
Great job!
How exciting!!! I am going to buy chickens and have the same experience 😊😊. Thanks for sharing!
Wow so cool!!! Nothing better than fresh eggs.
Brings back some of my fondest memories! I had two white chickens and it took me awhile to figure out which one laid the white egg and which the brown.
So exciting! Happy for you.
