Oh you know the way to my heart is long vlogs haha. Thank you thank you πŸ₯°
We don't really decorate for Fall ( we call it Autumn) in England which is a shame, so I enjoyed you doing a bit of decor πŸ€—
Great vlog. We used to have coops that me and my dad made when i was a kid. Not too sure how to get it done now though haha. Ducks used to just be free in our garden no coop for them. But then we didn't have raccoons or cats that could be a danger to them. Good luck with the coop πŸ₯°πŸ€—

I like when curtains pool on the floor!! I think black and white would be pretty. shelby and I took the extra bedroom and made a dressing room and we both have our clothes in there. We painted the walls white…and the ceiling black and have a chandelier and took down the closet doors and put up black and white brick wall paper and built shelves in the closet…it is super neat. and the bathroom…we carried over into it with the white tile, white walls, and black ceiling. I still have to paint the vanity and get new light fixtures.
The ducks have a wonderful pond (pool)….too cute.

This 'Ol Cowboy fully approves of The Marshall Tucker Band. So many great songs during their run.
Since you asked for our thoughts on the chicken coop. What I would do is use the shed. By putting a chicken wire wall on the shed to the fence and let them run in that unused section. The fence and shed give you some good anchor points and will help reduce the materials needed. That would give them a space to run outside and the option to easily move them inside the shed especially during the colder months. Of course the extension would have the gate and I would make it just tall enough for you to stand up in. I'd be happy to send you a quick sketch if what I'm saying isn't making sense. Either way I'm interested in seeing what you come up with. Thanks for the video. πŸ‘

I love LOVE your day in the life videos. I enjoy all of them but these are my favorites. I’m not sure if the sage green would like right in the bathroom. But I could be wrong πŸ˜‚. I’m envisioning a grayish color. I also would put long curtains to the floor by the little window. It would add more dramatic flair. I love how you do your chores with the kids there with you. Your daughter helping to fold clothes was the best. And then setting a time limit so you could take time to do special things with the kids. Helps to teach them that there is a time and place for everything. I’m a firm believer in the Bible and there is a verse that I just love. It’s train up a child with the right things and when they are old, they will do likewise. Of course I’m paraphrasing πŸ˜‰. With the ducks, chicks, garden, natural eating, exercise etc….it’s all so important and I can see that Wilder truly loves each part. Your daughter is still a little young but I can see she loves it too. I do love the way you decorated the dresser and those pictures are perfect. I’m not sure if I would put a picture on the other side or not. I am sure you will figure it out. I am also a firm believer in everyone having gifts. You definitely have the gift of creativity. You remind me of my niece Michelle. She did archways at the beginning of two of her little gardens. They are taller ones that you walk through and she has pumpkins hanging. She hasn’t done the squash though. They also sold corn last year and she made a beautiful corn sign/table. They aren’t selling them this year and she is making the sign into a greenhouse. She is also the one who used old pallets to make fences around her garden. Anyways, I digress. I think it’s so awesome that you ask for help from your neighbor and that you are able to barter for things you need. It not only helps you out but I’m sure it also is a blessing to him to be a part of what you are doing. You are right. There isn’t the sense of community anymore and it is sad. I consider my church friends my family. We are there for each other whenever something is needed. And it’s incredible to have that closeness with others. I leave tomorrow for TN and I have a lot of zucchini from the garden my niece planted for all of our family members at her moms house. I am going to make that zucchini lasagna that you did for my husband tonite. He will be able to eat on that for a few days. Once again, thank you for your realness, your honesty, your creativity and your friendship. It means so much to me. Thinking of you all as you had/have your appt for Delilah. God bless. Talk to you soon. ❀️

I think greens and blues are beautiful. My favorite is green and blue is next. Love the idea of giving your chicks and ducks more room. I have often thought about how small some chicken coups are. Great idea to give Gods creatures more breathing room. Love the idea of bartering with your skills. If things come to pass as they say they are going to we will need all the skills we can learn. But even now those bartering skills are very valuable. I applaud you for your ingenuity and artsyness. Don’t think thats a real word. That is what drew me to your videos. I am of the same mind. I have lots of skills but I am retired and my life has been in such turmoil for a number of years. Not of my doing, but other people who think its ok to hurt and take advantage of an older retired woman. Trying to find a safer place to live here. Your videos give me comfort. I have pulled up carpeting in several places I have lived. It is a pain depending on how securely they have tacked or nailed it down. But once it was up and out easy to make sure anything sharp is out and give the floor a good cleaning and if underneath is not viable then redo what you want. So satisfying. Do not care for homes with carpet in hallways or bathrooms and kitchens. Unsanitary. Dont really like wall to wall anywhere. Like wood or tile with a pretty oriental or something that can be taken up and cleaned. Always lots of things to get into at home and do. Just love putzing and doing all kinds of art and cooking and whatever around the home. God Bless.

Love the Fall refresh. Honestly, Fall is my favorite season! In your bathroom you could paint the vanity cabinet and add the new drawer pulls. Check out Heirloom Traditions paints, they have great color options and they will send you a sample of one choice of paint for free. That sample is plenty enough to do your cabin. I used it to redo my kitchen cabinets almost 3 years ago and they still look amazing.

The lasagna looked delicious, did the zucchini crisp up?

So smart of you to barter with a neighbor to get the chicken wire. I agree with you that we all need to be more present in our community. In this day and age we could all use the support!

Hey Tory. You are not allowed to paint over natural wood – it is a new law that has just been passed – as it is criminal. What are you planning on putting on the bathroom floor ? I would do that job first (after you have rehung that cabinet door πŸ™‚) as that might help decide the doors. On that sink top, have you considered removing the grout and re-grouting with a contrasting colour ?
Curtains in a bathroom might be a magnet for mould with the shower, what about a longer blind that extends passed the window and hangs down to the towel rail ?
Are you allowed to put up a fence the other end of the boat port to enlarge the garden ? If you are, I would say build the coop where you said and let the birds have access to the poly tunnel, they will catch bugs and fertilise at the same time πŸ™‚

A cat travel cage would be an easier way to transport the birds between garage and pool / cage, just herd them all in, close the door and job done, not a broken bone in sight (or poo on your shirt)

Hi Tory, great video. I love your haul and your decorating ideas. The tree theme in the bedroom looks so nice. The garden is amazing. I can’t believe how fast the chicks and ducklings are growing. The kids are adorable. I love your high tunnel and flower idea. I love pumpkin everything lol. I just found silk almond pumpkin spice creamer. Yum. I will be making that lasagne. It looks delicious. Love to you and your family. ❀️🌱πŸͺ΄πŸ¦†πŸ₯

I’m really interested to see what you decide to go with when you remodel. I am going to do some remodeling myself, so I am looking for some ideas. It was too hot and my garden didn’t do well, so I’m trying the fall and winter months. Should be perfect for Arizona. The ducks and chicks are so adorable! Since we live right by the mountains, we have predators all over the neighborhood. There are coyotes, owls, bobcats and so much more. I want to talk to a few people I know to see their setup for their chickens. Thank you for the inspiring video, Tory!
