Love your video presentation! Informative and to the point (no babbling lol). This is very similar to how I make my roast in my IP but I have always been afraid to cook one from a frozen state. Thanks for showing me how 🙂 Now my family doesn't have to eat out because I forgot to thaw the meat lol.

I made this today using a mostly frozen tri-tip. I'm new to the Instant Pot and after finding my meat was still frozen on day 2 of thawing I panicked. I happened upon this video in my frantic Google search. I did exactly as directed, only I lightly seasoned my tri- tip, and added celery. It was delicious! Thanks for the video!

Enjoyable video. Thanks. But how did you determine that you should cook the frozen roast for 90 minutes. Where does that 90 minutes come from? And if my roast is smaller than yours, do I still do it 90 minutes, or do I cut down on the time, and if so, how do I determine what that time should be. I'm relatively new to the instant pot, but using it more and more all the time.

I made it! I used beef broth instead of chicken and instead of onion soup mix, I had a packet of slow cooker pot roast seasoning (McCormack, I think?). Other than that I did exactly as the video says. It was delicious! I have made many a roast in crock pots and roasting pans, but his was the best and juiciest ever. My family scarfed it up. Will definitely make it again!

Thank you! Tried frozen 3 lb boneless blade pot roast, using 2 cans mushroom soup, 2 cans water and 1 pkg dry onion soup mix. Made sure liquid was about 1 inch from top of roast. Manual 90 minutes just as you said and it turned out wonderfully.
Very tasty, very tender. Thank you so much for sharing this video.

Great video but I sometimes couldn't hear what you were saying. Would it be possible to add amounts & times to your description? That would also make an easy reference, after watching the video. Thanks a bunch for the instructions. Looked delicious!
