Before you hit water in FH5 Lift finger off throttle, when in water accelerate. Works for me. Nice summing up Ben, Ta.All in all it’s swings and roundabouts as usual. The trouble is we got used to FH4 which is fantastic fun. Mexico has some really great areas and the cars don’t mind being thrashed to bits!

As brilliant as H5 is, i do have 1 major problem and a smaller issue with the game.

The major one is that progression is just near-nonexistent. You could complete the game in less than 36hrs with how small the intervals are between each festival expansion you unlock. At most, it's 10K points worth of accolades for one expansion wich is way too few. 17,5 to 20K per expansion would have perfect.

The small one is with the blueprint builder and events lab. Yes, it's very nice and one of my favorite features in H5 but they removed the option to test drive your route after you finished your layout, instead of now having it to do when you make an event. You litterly have to do it in one go, wich leads to my 2nd problem with it. We can't work on it on seperate occasions.

In all honesty, FH5 has been a tremendous success. All the fuss being made on the launch day issues is a little much in my opinion. All games have issues like that, and I do feel they were blown a little out of proportions. There of course are the usual glitches and bugs, but in my week or so of ownership, I’ve never had a harder time putting down a game. Compared to 4, it’s leagues ahead, and the gameplay is phenomenal. I play on the Series X, and run on performance, and even then I’m blown away about how good the game looks being run at 60FPS. The sound design is amazing, especially a lot of the older American V8’s having the iconic idle burble from the big cams. The reception has also been amazing, and in my honesty opinion, I see 5 going down alongside FH2 as the best Forza title by far, and I can see this game lasting just as long as 2 in the future
