I always love to see your sweet daughter helping. You are such a good mother to take the time to teach her. Maybe if you added some softened butter to the topping it would help it crystallize and stick to the muffins better.

I’m looking for a good vanilla extract recipe. I made a batch and let it sit for 2 years (shook it up occasionally) Turned out meh. I bought 26 beans this time. I don’t know how much vodka to add, maybe I’ll just use half of them for now. And does anyone know anything about vanilla bean sugar? Thanks everyone ♥️

If a friend or even an acquaintance offered me an open bottle I would have no problem, but there are unkind people in the world who would somehow poison things on purpose and then donate so… I think I would leave it.

That quinoa salad is almost stuffing for bell peppers. Just the cucumber doesn't sound like it would bake well. Love the pumpkin muffin idea. Maybe try the same thing, but as a coffee cake where you can put some of the cinnamon topping under the batter You could also use some of the cinnamon topping in a bread pudding with the brioche bread.

With the self rising flour, you might want to be aware that the baking powder in it has likely lost it’s oomph, and you’ll need to add some more into your biscuits or whatever else you may use it for that needs the baking powder for leavening 💜

I make my own brown sugar, and not for love or money will I ever by brown sugar at the store, homemade is so much better no additives or preservatives. White sugar and molasses makes the best brown sugar. I buy molasses by the gallon, also I make my own vanilla by the gallon it's wonderful.

I would take the open vanilla if i knew the person i was getting it from. Also i have an easy 2 ingredient biscuit recipe (it's from Tamara @ southern wife everyday life). 2c. Self rising flour and 1 1/4-11/2c. Heavy cream. Roll out, cut bake at 500 degrees for 10-12 min.
