My wife is asking me to cook once per week. I’ve agreed, but have minimal experience. These look amazing. I am going to cook these, but does anyone have any ideas what I could pair these potatoes with?

I made these today for Thanksgiving 2021. If you follow the recipe they are amazing. Exactly how they look in the video and the taste is exactly as you described. Wonderful. Thank you. Have a very happy holiday season.

" you can never have enough potato recipes". Chef John, you my kind of guy. I am part Irish and I do so love potatoes and it is my favorite veggy side for fish.

Popular in England? Come on Chef John, English food is crap. Botton of the European culinary tree. The country's national dish is curry served with a side dish of deep fried chocolate bars.

I made this tonight with salmon. This was the third time I did this recipe, I believe, and third time was the charm. It was amazing this time. I got the crisp, the creamy potato, and the flavour of the seasoning and stock. It was all perfect! Thank you! 😊

I'm from Europe but what do you mean by Americans not favoring food preparation that has multiple steps? Every time I watch Americans cook, it's like chemistry class. Multiple measurement units, multiple steps. Maybe I got it wrong?

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to veg varieties. Especially spuds. Thank goodness we no longer have the choice between red or white here in the UK. BUT!!!! When this amazing bloke is always recommending russet potatoes I get the dithers. WHAT is a russet potato?? The closest, shape wise, I've seen is Wilja. Tasty tubers, but obviously NOT russets. Pretty please phenomenal John!! How do I get a russet potato in Wales!!!!
