Love your takeaways for 2023. Sweet about memories of your dad and the raspberry bushes. I’ve never had a ton of weight to lose but I’ve been yo-yo dieter much of my life, addicted to sugar etc. Keto and carnivore cured me of that. I have been positively impacted the last 2 yrs by you, dr. Chaffee, Alice and Kev, dr berry, csrnivore doctor, Chris cooking Nashville, Kelly hogan (“fall in love with walking!”) and others and I’m so appreciative of you all! I’ve got my own takeaways from 2023 and what I’d like to accomplish for 2024 and I thank u for some of those ideas. Blessings to you Anita in the coming yr. (59 YO Hubby just had partial knee replacement. Doing very well! He had it done robotically with the Stryker knee part. Hope you keep investigating this for yourself. You are still a young lady!!💪💪👍 yrs ago I had terrible tendonitis. Couldn’t even lift a coffee cup!! Not joking. Now my elbow is so strong and I’m not inflamed anymore I sometimes forget which elbow had the surgery! All the best to you, Anita!

I noticed recently that I was pushing off on the arm of the sofa whenever I got up. We can start these bad habits that make us weaker without noticing. Now I just try to stand using just my legs.

I love your five take aways from 2023. I especially love your sweet commentary on those who may judge you for not being a "purest" about Carnivore and Keto. My chiropractor gave me the best way to view what others may call "transgressions". He said that he doesn't make a big deal about eating a certain way when he goes out with friends or with family. He eats, for the most part, what the others are having, knowing that that is not his lifestyle. Your choices are based on what's best for YOU! That's so great.

Sorry, but I think your friend Kristy is off base. Weight is extremely important! There are other important things about our way of eating, but weight is still extremely important. Eating badly makes us gain weight, which then makes us sick. It bothers me that you pay attention to something who diminishes weight loss. But your methods seem good.

Agreed…do what is best for you. To me it's important to be following a sustainable way of life and eating that promotes health and wellness.
And just a thought…."perfection" might be conducive to an eating disorder. IMHO
    Thank you Anita!!

Thanks Anita! I am of the same mind as you when it comes to diet labels. As far as I am concerned it is my health, my body, my journey, my rules…not anyone else's concern! Have a happy New year and all the best to you in 2024 ❤

I should probably do an elimination diet to understand how certain foods make new feel. You definitely have a handle on that. I’ve been having slight headaches lately and I know it’s food probably fake sugars. They are as addictive as real sugar.

Thank you, Anita. You have a balanced approach to life that leaves room for personal preferences and JOY. Love the story about your dad’s raspberries. Reminded me of my dad and his concord and scuppernong grapevines. Enjoy!
