    Interesting! Why not cook the chicken in the oven since you had already cooked some potatoes there? I have an Instapot but have not used it to cook a whole chicken just yet… Works great though!!

    Sorry about your fall at Library, glad you are okay.
    I am using same pot and process to make roast chicken. Once the chicken is ready to go to oven, sprinkle some Paprika on the chicken and you would have amazing chicken, and with much better flavoring.

    I usually "toast" the skin on a cast iron, too hard to handle in the pot, especially with slightly larger chickens, great recipe! Do you measure weight of the chicken with or without giblets when you multiply by 5.5? Removing giblets takes away about 6 ounces, thusly reducing the cooking time, thanks.

    Thanks for this video and others I'm going to try the whole chicken in my new instant pot i received for Xmas and have been using almost daily ever since lol. I'm going to try your version of a whole chicken in the instant pot tomorrow.
