Oh my lord that is huge!!! I'm thinking locals in Florida might not say it's legit…Crazy on the lack of flavor. OMG Corey, the sandwich is like orgy, I'm dying. You got EVERYTHING out of that analogy (egg yolk and all my friend!!) Nice pastrami IQ Sean πŸ™‚ Thanks for the donations everyone!!

Pulled pork is so plain that’s why it soaks up seasoning and sauces so well. Sammich looked good but all looks no substance sadly. πŸ™

The two wrongs make a right bit reminded me of one of the best moments on live TV. Back in the day the FX network had live segments headed to by Orlando Jones (from mad tv). During one of the segments there was a guy who was controlling a puppet that sat on a couch. The β€œpuppet” said β€œI guess two wongs don’t make a white” and you could hear a pin drop and they cut to commercial. I was 12 at the time and was just like β€œomfg.” I was the epitome of that Chris Pratt gif of him turning to the camera with a wtf grin on his face.

Speaking of things, have y’all ever seen the movie Chef?

Those are some gargantuan sandwiches! Sad that it seems like a quantity over quality situation. Boring meat is no fun. I love good pulled pork. It can be super boring if it isn't seasoned and prepared properly.

My favorite bbq sandwich is a nice jumbo pulled pork with spicy bbq sauce and slaw on the sandwich. This is, of course, assuming that it is properly seasoned and prepared pulled pork.

Fav BBQ I've ever had? Mutts BBQ in Greer, SC while on a roadtrip.

I'mma pulled pork guy. But I love Carolina style, which is finished off in a sauce of its own renderings with cider, mustard, red pepper, worcestershire, chili powder, etc. What you've got there is plain pulled pork. That's not sauced, and I bet when they serve it in a sandwich or as a platter, they offer sauce cups of a variety of BBQ sauces (probably all way too sweet) to give it some flavor. Without… it's just tender pork. BBLLLAAAAHHH.

I hate everything about this sandwich. The Cubano, or Cuban sandwich (but never "Cubano sandwich") is an amazing sandwich from FL I fell in love with just a few months before Jon Favreau's movie "Chef" hit, which I seriously suggest watching. They are flavorful, tight, happiness delivering machines for your mouth. I would say that adding a fried egg is pushing it. All this other stuff is way over the edge and someone needs to slap their hands with a ruler.

When I lived at Irving and Ravenswood this would be a frequent spot to eat at hungover, unreal bloodys. Too far north to get the douchey frat bros – maybe if it was at Lincoln and Fullerton…

I have a question for y’all this time do they have good sweet tea in the north? My mom is from PA and they didn’t have sweet tea in the north at that time so I’m curious if times have changed

First pressed Cuban sandwich I had was in Miami. Very delicious. Best BBQ sandwich for me is one I make at home. Seasoned pork or chicken in the crockpot for 6 hours, shred and mix your favorite BBQ sauce in.

I guess it's more a Cuban sandwich like a "torta cubana" where it's just all the meats on one torta? I dunno.

As for the pulled pork, it's gonna be seasoned with salt and spices when it's hot and juicy, and I feel like it needs a lot of hours of smoke.

Sean, when you said "Stone Cold Fox", I immediately thought of my dad…and he's 64 hahaha. Anyway, love the channel, and you and Corey have inspired a lot of my recent Chicago restaurant visits. Also random, but I ran into you on Orleans street a couple months ago. Keep up the good work guys!
