My grandma wouldn't let me call her grandma in public. I always used her first name Zora. She was a twin she had a sister named Zona. Her dad was very Religious and give them Yiddish names. Thanks for the video.

AG: This is another great recipe where you can customize it many ways. By adding a can of beef I can cook once and eat several times. These recipes are great for saving propane, wood, or electricity. 👍👍👍👍

Do you store Bear Creek mixes in the original package? I have a 5 gallon bucket full of Bear Creek mixes still in original packaging. Is this a good way to store? Should oxy. absorber be used?
Thank you and we like your videos very much.

Just made the Bear Creek cheddar potato soup.
    I added:
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
    1 can whole corn
    1 can diced potato
    1 can chicken
    1 packet of taco seasoning
Sprinkle shredded cheese of your choice on top.
    Yummy!

😊 Personally, I'm a keto/carnivore lifestyle person. Those soups are way too starchy/carby for me. But I keep plenty of each variety on hand. Folks who aren't carb-minded are glad when I gift them with "soup kits" consisting of a Bear Creek soup, some appropriate canned meats, and even other ingredients that will beef up the flavor. That plus a "just add water" pouch of biscuit or cornbread mix, and there is an easy "emergency meal for someone. 😄. Just an hour ago someone texted a thank you to me. They recently cooked up a chicken soup kit which was handy as they were sick with a cold!
And, of course, if I need to, I'm quite willing to eat the carbs/starches if that's all there is to eat. In today's climate, who knows what the future holds. Thanks, Alaska Granny! I enjoy your posts.

One more thought. If an emp or the like happens, things we have stored on our phones are still able to be used. I have 2 old phones with a lot of prepping g and survival articles stored, with pdf files on all kinds of things. Don't throw your old phones away. Use them.

Would make a good soup base, but definately plan on adding items like meat/beans to this because the recipe is only 110 calories. That would keep me happy for about 1 hour, then I'd have my head in the refrigerator. I need soup to be about 350 calories and then I often still add to it.
