Also to answer your question they add sugar to the restaurant stuff because it makes you eat more so you spend more money, and also maybe a bit of a preservative heat the leftovers for the buffet customers for those Indian restaurants that also do buffets. Many restaurants also use premade sauces that come from jars so they can have the same product time after time which we all know are loaded with sugar.

1. You never add raw Tumeric to food. Always last and fried.
2. Never ever Cirry Powder since it is Carribian (Ghana, Trinadad)
Not an Indian Cusine. Totally different. Only Garam Masala 1/2 ,Teaspoon and that too last of all at time of eating.
3. Never ever in butter, coconut or any oil.
4. Full creme at the end before Garam Masala.
If you care to eat Butter Chicken otherwise name it something else.

Please saute the chicken added spices . When oil comes out ,then add water ,not before that. You will get a great taste .
