My favorite hack is “casserole” but I cook the starch on the side.
Example: Chicken Cordon Bleu Bake; my original recipe had noodles in it. Now I cook the pasta on the side, and bake the casserole (so it is just chicken, ham, cheese, and a simple cream sauce) so I can eat that with Salad and my kids and husband can still eat it over pasta. I do the same with spaghetti (sauce, cheese, beef, onion; baked together with pasta on the side to serve over it) , chicken Alfredo, etc. It makes for an easy dinner instead of cooking two separate ones.

I make a veggie bowl to snack on through out the day. It has radishes, celery & cucumbers in it.
You've inspired me to hop back on the keto lifestyle wagon again with DLK. Thank you.

I actually just learned of your channel from a commenter on another YouTubers video😁 As I sit here watching and enjoying a box of milk duds, (my weakness 😋🤤), I know I've got to start trading the sweets in for healthy choices and losing weight. I like your beginner ideas and tomorrow I will be hitting the store and stocking up for my first week and see how it goes!

You are amazing! My best way to cook the vegetables is steaming them then saute garlic in olive oil or butter then add the steamed vegetables & salt mix well ..
. the perfect side for your favorite protein. Delicioso!

I like snacking on almonds and cream cheese. *Also when cooking with those oven bags things are done in half the regular time not double the amount of time. Thank you for all of your help and ideas!

Great suggestions… I like to cook a green veggie that can be used in meal prep for several meals throughout the next week.
Collards, fried cabbage, steamed broccoli- etc…

My children begged for Hamburger Helper when they were young. So I caved and bought a box, made it and promptly threw out most of it. They hated it and said it tasted "funny." I always cooked from scratch, and still do. However I will buy a Rotisserie chicken and use it for all kinds of meals.

Just got your beginner book and it actually affirms a lot of what I was doing on my own. To me it is a more sustainable keto written down in a succinct package with a lot of inspirational tips and stories. I was getting a bit down watching YouTube videos about all the people successfully fasting days on end ( can’t do that , did it when I was younger and off and on on many diets but would always binge later on. Fasting and very restricted calorie diets set me up for a lifetime of negative food issues.) I can do a time restricted eating window because it is helpful to stop eating all night but may or may not be for everybody. People also promote egg fasts and eating nothing but Bacon, Beef, Butter, and Eggs. It’s tempting to lose it fast but this type of highly restrictive, deprivation dieting even temporarily doesn’t teach you how to keep it off. And you may end up hating eggs. Then it is so discouraging when you regain it all back for the millionth time.

Burgers!! We love burgers in our house and it’s a meal my hubby can help with because he loves to grill. They can eat with buns and all the things, I can easily eat as a salad or lettuce “bun”. Easy to always have on hand.

I love keeping the frozen veggies you throw in the microwave and steam, on hand. Not everyone in my fam is a fan of veggies and it’s easy for me to throw in the microwave while I’m cooking everything else for them.

I've been trying to do strick keto and it's getting me down. I've been thinking of stopping and trying some other diet. Then I discovered your site. It would be very helpful to receive your first book to discover an easier, better, more flexible way to stick with Keto. My favorite protein is chicken – or maybe the egg. Not sure which came first?! 😉
