Never cooked my corned beef in crockpot. I usually boil mine till very fork tender on the stove. I then slice across the grain. Use this for homemade Reubens too! Dinner looked yummy 😋!

Happy Birthday!! I got a brisket at my food bank today! My haul was great. I also got 2 beef roasts and a 10 lb pack of chicken leg quarters, a 5lb pack of chicken breasts, and a 3lb bag of large shrimp. My husband and I are both on disability and we don't get any food stamps so without my local banks we wouldn't eat. My food bank is once every 2 months.

Oh that looks delish. Before I was vegan, I made this all of the time. But on St Patty's day we always had Reubens.
The first time that I made corned beef and cabbage, I tossed veggies and corned beef in the Slow cooker and went to work. The cabbage was overcooked and my house just stunk. Now I'm looking for a vegan corned beef option to make my Reuben. Any suggestions ?

Hi, Carmen here the lady who uses her daughter youtube due to a password issue. I love corned beef it is one of my favorites. Now when it's on sale I buy a few and cook them up some for sandwiches, some with corn, potatoes, carrots, onions and cabbage, then the one my mom used to make with the leftovers or the canned corned beef. She would make a bunch of french fries, while the rest is cooking. You cut up an onion and a half a bell pepper, (you measure with your heart, if you like onions and bell pepper add more or less) a med. or two small cans of tomato sauce, some salt, pepper, garlic and oregano to taste add the corned beef and cook for a half an hour or more. When ready to eat put fries on plate and pour the sauce over it and eat with forks. Brings back memories of my mom. Until next time much love💖💖

I love corned beef! I always cook my corned beef on top of my potatoes, carrots and onions, in the crock pot with some beef stock…then add the cabbage in for the last hour or so.

With corn beef we put the potatoes, carrots and parsnips in with the meat for the last hour of cooking and also have cabbage with bacon. It is a winter dish here in Australia. We serve with a good seeded mustard or horse radish.

We throw the onions (long slices for us…we love them), carrots, and potatoes into the bottom of the crockpot, the corned beef on top and some water in the bottom, not much, and a few cloves of garlic. When it's got about an hour left, we quarter the cabbage and put it on top of the beef to finish cooking. The veggies take on the flavor of the corned beef. Yum.

Hey Carolina, I totally understand the green food on St. Patty's Day , my Dad was a Hugh fan, now try to explain to someone a girl named Bridget, does not eat corned beef. A few year's ago I found Johnsonville Irish sausage and I do that with beer braised cabbage, carrots, & potatoes w bacon. Happy Birthday enjoy🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.

I put the grate in and put it all into the instapot for 80 mins. Lol. Everything comes out excellent. Put the cabbage on top of carrots and potatoes. I really don’t know why I haven’t used the pressure cooker more then I do. It’s so easy. Mine has the canning feature 😄

Your cabbage looks delicious!
