    Hi AJ!
Armenians have established communities in many regions throughout the world and every community developed their own versions of Armenian food that’s is greatly influenced by the local cuisine. In other words Armenians living in the Diaspora often adopted local ingredients and spices that were not originally a part of the old Armenian traditional cuisine.
A lot of the dishes mentioned by this young and beautiful lady are popular amongst Armenians who lived in Middle East. Their version of Armenian food contains a lot of ingredients that are staples in Arabic cuisine and are truly delicious. Many of these ingredients and dishes though are not vastly used by Armenians from Russia, Iran, Armenia …. Their idea of Armenian food is different.
I am from Armenia. I am familiar with some of the dishes mentioned, but they are not a part of our daily life. Most of the Armenians who live in Armenia don’t use ingredients like tahini and majority of them don’t even know what tahini is.
This is not a criticism at all. She did a good job. I have no doubt in her book I will find some vegan recipes that I will want to make.
Thanks a lot to both of you. 🌹🌹🌹
