2 minutes of silence for the lost tomato paste and the pea in one of the previous videos. Bye
why would I trust somebody adding tomato paste like that?
4 lbs of meat will feed..
8 people?
More like 2-4!
Great recipe, I tried it yesterday and it was great! Just one thing.. is it the same if instead of the oven I use an iron saucepan at low flame? It does great at slow cooking meat
Looks awesome. Do i have to use foil, can i not just use a lid. Enjoy your day.
For these colder months I would love to see Adam do a CHILI
Geesh, have some potatoes with your mashed butter!
love this
Try it with pork!
i dont suppose you have a instant pot version of this XD
Yummy, but to much work for my taste. I rather put all in to the stew, putting meat in the end that is already prepared.
Cutting off all that delicious fat 😭
You need to sharpen your knife, too much sawing with that meat
Did you leave in "the lean" on that mashed potato shot?
You're so cute with all your little steps when my mom just jumps everything into the slow cooker and forgets it go for 8 or 10 hours and then we have something delicious at the end
Celery is a lot more palatable if you "peel" the stringy bits off before you chop it.
10:44 uhhh
I do hope you rendered that fat that you trimmed off for some awesome other uses. I do this with all trimmings of meat products and it really becomes a very tasty cooking fat. Good economy and good food.
Hi Adam. I want to make this recipe but I’ve never had egg noodles, I was wondering how you like to prepare them?
I made this, came out good but its more of a soup broth than a nice thick sauce even though I used 4 packets of the gelatin. next time Im adding corn starch too
holy butter
All of your reasons for making a beef stew are spot-on, but you forgot the most obvious one; beef stew is friggin' awesome!!! I use a crock pot and layer the veggies (potatos, carrots, celery, onions/shallots, & garlic) on the bottom with the beef on the top layer, out of the liquid. I use beef stock/broth for the liquid. Then when the meat is cooked, I add enough broth (with cornstarch) to fill the pot and thicken the broth. I then season to taste, usually salt and pepper, dried rosemary, thyme, oregano, sage and parsley. 1/2 – 1 teaspoon each, depending on taste preference.
Why i season my stew and not my cutting board
Masterful ad transition! I commend you.
Whole pound butter 😱
DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC WHIP – it is too strong, it causes mash potatoes to become like glue
I can almost taste it through the screen
People who don't eat beef are weak
I appreciate you, Adam. I don't leave comments. But when you mentioned using MSG to give the stew some umami. It excited me, and I wanted to show my gratitude. I've been watching your channel for a few years now, and rarely do you ever see other creators recommending to their viewers to use MSG(other than east Asian food channels). Growing up in an East Asian home I consumed and used "the stuff" ever since I was in diapers. From a simple fried egg to an overnight ribeye. It is amazing! One of my special weapons when I need some pep in a dish. I believe that just about anything is better with this sodium. Thank you for educating the masses. I hope that one day it will be a norm seasoning in kitchens. Hope to see more, and I wish you and yours a healthy and happy holiday!
(For the misinformed please watch Adam's video on MSG)
Might be a bit late but I had to share 😂 https://youtu.be/7ivnSs8U_48
you alright bro ? you sound sick. good stuff as always
Tastes a lot better adding fresh thyme, rosemary, sage and parsley when you add the veg.
I felt like Randy in that South Park episode watching him stir that.
Wow sponsorblock addon for the win! this guy has the most annoying in video adds, but no longer!
This dude is Ben Shapiro if he was nice and went into cooking
So good! Substituted beef broth for water and oyster sauce (my favorite umami) for worcestershire but otherwise same. Easy and delicious!

tnx for converting all measurments to european
Your videos haven’t appeared in my feed in probably 2 months. YouTube algorithm letdown
I find that braised dishes (stews, casseroles, etc) tend to taste better the next day
Adam, no need to let other creators stress you out. Your parsimonious approach to recipes combined with spot-on visuals makes your channel the only one I go to. It's unique. Please continue to make the real world of home cooking a better place. We are what we eat, so my family and I are better off because you've shared so much with us. Thank you. so much.
Why are you doing all that work on the open oven door?
why/when does a beef stew turn grey?

FYI: "Pearl Onions" are not a thing in Australia. Fresh, frozen or even tinned, nothing comes up for our three largest national supermarket chains.
