Hey Chef AJ, I have an idea for a guest. What about someone doing urban farming? Have you ever done that? I was thinking someone like Kevin Espiritu, he wrote a book called Urban Gardening. He grows stuff in his backyard. I would definitely watch that show.

If he's tall, 14miles a day would be like 28,000 steps a day (1 mile = 2000 steps). For a shorty like me, 14miles would be 42,000 steps and then my legs would just fall off my body. (1 mile = 3000 steps)

That's so funny, saying that thinking olive oil is good because of the traditional Mediterranean diet, is like having the take-away from the China Study be that eating General Tso's chicken is good xD Isn't Dr Greger always such a delight 🙂 what a gem, and a gift to the world 😀 thank you so very much <3

    I love Dr Greger!
I love to hear him speak and how enthusiastic and knowledgeable he is.
He seems to genuinely love learning about and then teaching about all these subjects and that is passed on in the way he talks about them x

My great grandmother lived to be 105. It was amazing how long she’d lived. I was almost 20 when she passed. When the First World War started, she was 19 years old. I can tell you what she ate. She never had a drop of alcohol in her life. No cigarettes. She lived in rural Scandinavia where she worked as a school teacher. She worked for so many years everyone in the area knew of her. When I was 23 I went camping in the south of France, in the Pyrenees. I met an older man there who actually knew my great grandmother, because he’d lived in the same area in Scandinavia as a child. She ate whole foods. Not vegan though. Potatoes, veg, fish, meat. Always oats for breakfast. And she was sporty for most of her life, although not so much during my life time. But I know that she tended to her rose bushes together with me when I was 1 or 2 years old.

A nice surprise to see Dr. Greger in Q & A sessions two days running: his own monthly session was aired, and avidly watched by me, yesterday. Thank you for your videos with stellar guests, and your well selected questions and pleasant cheerful manner, always. And I too guessed Loma Linda would be the still 'blue' Blue Zone.

I have been very healthy my entire life… Never over weight always eating organic. I thought my life style would keep me from getting cancer, But apparently cancer could care less what you eat!

I was afraid of over diagnoses when my doctor detected DCIS. I have dense breast tissue and without the new technology for mammograms my cancer would have been missed. Just had mastectomy and the DCIS was removed, upgraded to stage 1 invasive. Was just making it's way out one lymph node. I'm so grateful to all the doctors and the incredible technology. I will beat this! But maybe not without these advancements.

    Hi dear Aj ,
you asked dr Greger why some vegans die from cancer and he replied that a vegan diet doesn't guarantee a 100% protection against cancer ! ok that's true.
Well many vegans don't eat a healthy whole food plant based diet that should be unprocessed and preferably organic ! I know a lot of vegans who eat processed junk vegan food full of additives! just because something is vegan doesn't mean it's healthy !
Dr Greger wasn't expecting that question I guess !

It would be interesting to see what Dr. Gregor thinks of Dr. Longo's research.

Longo seems to suggest it's a good idea to be on a plant-based diet 5 days a week and reintroducing some fish or eggs for the remaining two days to avoid muscle mass loss and weakening of the immune system.

That was so interesting about mushrooms and longevity. If you're ever in Irvine,CA there's a chain of restaurants called Lemonade that has so many healthy, plant based options.
