You’re going to be making this Ouzi Rice all year long, trust me! It’s incredibly simple to put together and packed with so much …
I made this exactly as you did (I made my own Baharat) and it was AMAZING!
I made double the meat and peas mix to have a great base for a keema curry the next night 🙂
who doesnt have baharat am i right? xD lmfao
I’ve made “freestyle” dishes spookily similar to this but never knew it had a name!
This sounds delicious, I'll definitely try it 😀
I completely suck at cooking rice in a pot. Any way to make this in a rice cooker and being just as good? Maybe do the aromatics and rice frying in a pot and the transferring everything to the rice cooker would work??
Why didn’t your ground beef release fat at 80/20?
Oh god!!! I could eat that whole pot, only if you take out 80% of those peas 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I guess 1.5cm of liquid to cover is the quantified version of the Knuckle Rule.😁 Oh yeah, I'm gonna need to make this dish once the weather cools off.
What was name ( Baja?? ) kind of 7 spice? What does Ouzi mean? This is the "halal " version of dirty rice. LOL
I would customize this with lamb stock to everything to taste like lamb flavour. Wonderful dish!
My mother wraps it in pastry dough and bakes it. Serve it with a side of cucumber and yoghurt salad and you've got yourself a trip to flavor town my friend.
Found your channel through emmymade – I am so exited to try some of these amazing flavors! Thank you for sharing your culinary expertise! 😊
You’re back! I hope all is well
Simply…… amazing 🤩🤩
Any ideas on a meat replacement to make this vegan? Maybe just load up with veg, or add potatoes or tofu?
Thanks!
Made this tonight (though I forgot the nuts!). My husband declared it, "my favorite of your YouTube dishes".
I cooked this for my Jamaican family, along with egyptian salad, and they absolutely loved it! We cook something similar, which is jasmine rice with beef mince and peas. Sometimes we add curry to it too.
👍
Hi.
Is it possible to add bay leaves into the stock that goes over rice? It would be easier to catch them later.
Can mandels be crushed or they need to be full size?
