    Joy,
My week was a typical week. We went through a dry spell in May and June, but July is trying to make up for it. The grass is in need of mowing almost twice a week now with all the rain. Much of the week was spent doing yard work and gardening. I just have 5 tomatoes and three bell pepper plants this year. I have a much bigger garden that is on a vacant city lot that I bought from the city. I'm in progress of making a wildflower garden. It's only 10×10 feet but it's in the corner of the yard that was just a place to collect junk that was good for something someday. Well, someday never came so I cleaned it up and am now amending the soil to that next Spring I can sow the wildflower seed.

Every week on Sunday evening, I have a family dinner. Sometimes we eat at a restaurant but with the rising prices of everything, it's mostly at my house. It's mostly just ordinary food. Nothing too difficult to do. Your recipes are the perfect inspiration. They are simple but I expect quite tasty. There's five of us including my grandson's girlfriend. Last Sunday it was cheeseburgers and fries.

I live in a fairly large city with a population of close to a million in the metropolitan area which includes the suburbs. We have a Moutain lion that's been sighted roaming the streets at night. This is the third time a Moutain Lion has come to town. Sadly, they always get killed by the police. This one has been very elusive and has been on the roam for over a week. We also have raccoon, possum, skunk, deer, and wild turkeys that are seen in the wooded areas of the city. It's quite amazing how animals adopt to city life.

Have a great week in the kitchen.

Looks great! So wholesome and delicious. Also, your kitchen is lovely, I love your countertop! We have bears- they've been spotted on our farm, but I've never seen them – thank goodness. There is no shortage of raccoons, however😊. Thank you, Terri.
