After you wrap the meat in aluminium foil, do you put it back in the oven with or without the pot ? I find it strange how in the next scene it comes out inside the pot without the aluminium foil ? 😕

Why is the skin white?
It was way too salty. I knew it and did it anyway so its my fault. But the meat turned out perfectly.
Toast your fennel seeds first, & after wards crack them, & add a bay leaf.
Gravy that is this good must have riced/mashed/mixed potatoes … I bought a ricer so I rice, works great, maybe mix in some roasted garlic, but do not use raw, it is poisons to some people in the hospital. (me)
You’d be surprised at how many high end restaurants use those packets of gravy to doctor up some of their meals. There’s no shame in that, being that they’re made up of basic ingredients. Now the real tragedy is when you go and pour ketchup on it!

the balls of aluminum was goofy, just lift it out of the cooking dish & put in a roasting rack, or a baking rack across the top of the dish to lift it up, or just use another roasting pan with a rack, you might want to mattering on your veggies level of doneness.

I made this today and the cooking time and heat time didn't work for me, was still very tough, so I covered it all after it got crisp on top and it came out great. I cooked for an additional 2 hours. Mine was about as big as the one you had as well.

At 1:27m u foil them in the oven but when u take it out. I didn’t see the foil but it started crackling. Do u cut any step of making skin crispy?
