Honestly first recipe by Yaman that I did not like. So much quantity is tricky to caramelise.
I tried this recipe yesterday ..it came out limo and not crispy at all even though we fried on low heat
He has definitely used more than 100 ml of oil.. Onions need to he deep fried in order to be crispy.. One can't possibly deep fry in 100 ml of oil

Have any tips to avoid caramelizing the onions? Will this only work with certain onions? I used sweet onions when I tried, but they never got to the crispy stage, they just got soft and brown.
