This a great casserole. It's hardy enough that you don't need the rice. I love how you put the cream sauce together and all the spices you used. Using gelatinous canned soup is very off putting to me. Nice job!

Oh I would love to eat this, it looks so good. My mother used to make it with rice. Many years ago, I wondered why I had glutened symptoms after eating rice. I found out that rice does have a form of gluten, so does corn. I am not the only celiac that can’t eat rice.
Maybe I will add potatoes. I look forward to making this for a filling.
I would use cream of chicken instead of cream cheese, or a chicken stock.
