    By blanching palak whether micro nutrient don"t get drained out in the boiling water and then in ice cold watet. Solely done to preserve colour but moot question whether nutrition is more important or the visual appearance. As regards cleaning, then soaking the leaves for 15 minutes and thoroughly washing under running water should have same result.
