Ms. Darlene, I was watching your 1 pan meal video from a year ago, and I was wondering if you could do a new 1 pan video? One for hearty winter meals. My hubs is such a hearty meal man.

Beautiful loaves of bread! Iโ€™m sure it was perfect with the yummy soup. I live in Georgia (US) and we were supposed to get a few snow flurries last weekend but it skipped up. A little sad about it because I love a good snow! Thanks Darlene!

Darlene, I have to tell you that you inspired me to have a batch cooking day. It's cold here in N. Texas (30s). For us that's really cold. I pulled out my Instant Pot. First batch was hard boiled eggs. Second batch was frozen chicken thighs (I divided the batch so I can make two recipes). Third batch was vegetarian red beans and rice (Creole style) for my oldest who is a vegetarian. Recipe used canned red beans and long grain rice. Really fast and flavorful. And my last batch is for my youngest daughter and I for dinner – Chicken and wild rice soup. With precooked chicken and a pouch of microwave rice, it's only going to take a few minutes to heat up. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your bread looks awesome!!! I bet it would make really good grilled cheese!!! lol! You are making me hungry. We had a good snow last weekend and I made a pot of chili. I think this weekend I'll make chicken and dumplings…..That sounds so good. I'm all about the comfort food. Stay warm!!!!

This time last year I was making bread every weekend. I had a brown bread recipe that I was trying to perfect. I wound up cutting the amount of molasses, and adding sugar free honey, and cutting the amount of instant coffee that it called for….I just found it to be a bit to strong. Then I added Coriander seeds the last time I made it….it was sooooooo good. I love Rye bread and this tasted like rye because of the seeds. The sad thing is I haven't made it since. LOL. There's nothing like warm bread with butter…and the way the house smells as it's baking. I love your dutch over also!!!!

Darlene – Hi from Upstate New York – what a great video! It was so warm and cozy. It's my kind of dinner on a winter's night. I'm cooking a turkey on Saturday and will use this recipe to make the Turkey (LOL) Pot Pie Soup with the leftovers. Your bread looks great to me. I'm just beginning to bake bread – mine tastes good, but I've got to work on the shape.

This is a great video! What do you mean you have to work on the shape of the bread?!? It's home made, with LOVE and tastes great… who cares if one side is funky? You crack me up… we don't have to be perfect ๐Ÿ™‚ I am definitely going to try this recipe and use a round ceramic crock. Yum! Thanks!

I must really complement the way you put this video together. Have watched you for a while and this one was so calming with the music, words on screen, your voice, etc. The soup looks great.

We definitely got a lot of snow. Itโ€™s so pretty. Iโ€™m so glad we could stay home and we didnโ€™t have to drive in it. Itโ€™s a blessing, something that is not lost on me. I remember all to well having to drive in bad weather to get to work. Your bread and soup looked delicious. I should try and make bread or buns sometime. Take Care. โ„๏ธโ˜ƒ๏ธโ„๏ธ

Yay! I found your channel again ๐Ÿ™‚ I used to be a subscriber but got away from YouTube for at least a year. When I came back, Iโ€™d forgotten the names of many of my favorite channels. Itโ€™s taken me at least six months to find you again. LOL I have made all our bread products for a few decades now. Yours look lovely ๐Ÿ™‚

Loved this video Darlene . The beginning was so cozy and the soup and bread looks great . Last week I made taco soup and a hamburger soup ( taste just like a hot hamburger sandwich ) and homemade biscuits . So good in the snowy -25 weather we have had the last couple weekends .

I loved today's video. It was so warm and cozy. I enjoyed having coffee with you and seeing the furbabies. It was fun to see Andrew finish his puzzle. I'm going to try the bread recipe and the chicken pot pie. God bless you and yours.

Loved the cozy vibe of the whole video! Without the sound at the beginning, it was almost like ASMR. Snow, working puzzles with Andrew, home made bread and comforting soup…it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for sharing, Pam xo

We got more ice than snow it seems here ๐Ÿฅถ making chili this morning, the kids have a two hour delay so I was able to get it in the crockpot before getting them ready for school.
