Just peel the apples before coring and slicing them. Can use favorite apple pie filling recipe with or without a thickener. Just bake without the crust.

Looks delicious. I love cinnamon apples. Just a tip: When I need to peel an apple for a recipe I use a vegetable peeler before slicing it.
