I'm going to have heart burn from Hades tonight but my household can't seem to think of a dish they've had from me that was better than Kurt's Gumbo. We're big fans now…we're also trying to figure out where we learned to use a can opener.

Why has this dish made me want a huge plate of paella so much? lol I would also definitely eat what you made, it looked delish. Oh, minus the celery though. Yuk. If you haven't seen it, one of the most epic clips of the show was when Joe Wilkinson reads out a poem titled something like 'Hanging about in a public toilet at a train station naming people's penises', Sore cheeks, sore sides, crying with laughter stuff. You can find it here on the tube. The Last Leg on Channel 4 delivers brilliant comedy too.

Hi Kurt. Enjoying your replay of cooking gumbo. Actually I’ve found adding okra would thicken, you’d need no rue. Just a matter of if you like the taste, but I do love okra. Have fun at improv. ♥️

I’m sitting here in Georgia, sick with a cold, on the fourth week of kitchen renovation so I still do not have a kitchen to cook in. I can’t make gumbo but I swear I can smell it! There should be some kind of lock for the blades on that dicer. It's a hazard having the blades pop out like that.
