In this episode, Oren tries to demystify food and make it a little less intimidating. Nathan is frustrated by Oren’s “anarchistic” approach to the principles of cooking …
if you know how to cook, this is like watching the blind leading the blind
"There's no magic, you've seen everything I've done." 😂
This was more distressing than Hereditary.
I didn't know I needed this in my life, but thank you.
Nathan should stick with baking sweet potatoes. While it bakes he can write.
Nathan holding the whisk like a pencil convinces me he needs a bit more whipping practice.
Use the rest of the whipping cream to make butter and watch him REALLY freak out!
Those really are the worst knives. I cringed the whole time, you poor things.
Literally how?
“Why don’t they peel these for you?” Oh Nathan, I thought we taught you better than that at CYD.
Nathan, whether you sharpen your knife or not (and you should) pleeease get a cut resistant glove. They're inexpensive, and kitchen knife injuries can be really bad. I learned that the hard way many years ago after I nearly chopped the tip of my thumb off while chopping cilantro. Consider that you won't be able to type 15.000 words a day if you injure yourself.
This is very homoerotic and I think they both know.

Nathan, stop putting yourself through this before the video gets reported for self-harm
Maybe Nathan should stick to his day job share more of his knowledge in here as well, in that case I'll be cooking him any vegetarian food he wants.

Someone needs to drop off a knife sharpener at HQ.
Honestly it's really nice seeing that I'm not the only person who struggles with cooking meals and stuff like that. I like that Nathan doesn't try to pretend he knows more than he does, because a lot of the questions he asks are ones that I want to know but don't want to ask out of fear of looking bad.
In short: I like this series and thank you for it.
These sweet potatoes aren't going to cook evenly. Some are slices, some are cubes, some are slivers. 😂
"or slightly below average person" lmao XD
cutting boards can be helpful…

Oren is so patient and supportive
You did a good job, Nathan!
This is so beautiful and I love it
Back to brunch for you wet liberals now that daddy Biden is in the WH
In which brian david gilbert and hasan minhaj try to make whipped cream together
I cook a lot, and I'm pretty good with a knife, AND I use a very sharp Japanese vegetable cleaver to cut my sweet potatoes, and they're always pretty tough to cut.
I think Nathan's throwing of the plastic bag is the perfect visual metaphor for his current cooking ability.
A dull knife is a safety hazard. Get someone to sharpen your knives, Nathan.
