Oatmeal is underrated. Like you I am creative with it. I just thought about what if I add coconut just before you did that on the video. Of course apples and cinnamon are common but always good additions unless those are road apples. I think it’s funny that most people under 50 wouldn’t understand that. Hey, I was able to view your last chat but my I-phone wouldn’t allow me to join the conversation. It’s hard to not be able to share a good joke. God bless you always my friend ✝️

Flax seeds have no nutritional value unless they are ground because the outer casing will not digest in the stomach. The seeds will pass right through you, intact. Also, ground flax seeds should be eaten within 24 hours as they will begin to lose their nutritional value after grinding. I grind 2 tablespoons of flax seeds daily in a coffee grinder to add to my homemade yogurt which I like to have with my homemade granola.

i do the exact same thing making oatmeal, except that I don't use baggies because our town does not recycle, so I use jars. Some typical ingredients: 1/4 cup oats, chia seeds, all raw nuts that have been soaked – almonds, pecans, walnuts, pepita whatever else I have around; homemade dehydrated apple and banana and mango. Sometimes I add a few raisins or homemade dehydrated cranberries. I like to dehydrate my own fruit cuz I don't sweeten it. When I get to work I dump it in a bowl and add hot water. Easy peasy.

Fun to watch video and great to see meal prep is possible in van life. How much power does your pressure cooker draw from your power source? Tip for keeping cutting board from sliding around is to place a damp paper towel or non slip mat under cutting board.

I like the healthy idea. Looks yum.

What is that meal thingy called? Chaffles? For a change from other breakfasts.
I love pre packaging. Looks delicious. I make the overnight oatmeal’s in mason jars when I am on the road, but like this Ninja Foodie.
Do you ever just add more liquid and turn your oatmeal into a shake?
I sometimes take cooked oatmeal, add some GF flour (2T.) and make myself pancakes with it.
    Super yum on homemade granola.

I am diabetic and when I eat oatmeal I use the steel cut oats, put nuts, cinnamon and a little honey in it, it makes my sugar very elevated when I check it two hours later. So apparently it is not good for me and I can not eat it plain, I am already not that crazy about it anyway.

I enjoy oatmeal too. Just a tip, you could use a fork to help hold the apple and even use the tines as a guide. My daughter isn't much of a cook, and I dread it when she grabs the cutting board and one of my knives. Hope you're doing okay πŸ™‚

Pretty much every morning I put together a bowl with granola on the bottom, cover with oatmilk yogurt, then blueberries, apples, other berries/fruit in season. Yum!
