Ask your dad if he ever read any military land vehicles, aircraft and watercraft repair and maintenance manuals written by a Sgt. Orville L. Lee. If he has that was my birth father. My dad, the man who raised me with all my brokenness died in 2005 from asbestos cancer he developed from working on coastguard ships when the pipes and insulation on them was made of asbestos. My birth father left when I was 3 and my dad did not show up until I was 14. I am grateful for CWO Lonnie K. Johnson for being what a dad should always be.

I did not catch you earlier. I had a grueling day from 12 noon until 5pm at the Florida Tax Collection office helping my mother get her title, tags and registration as well as get my driver's license since it took some doing with the first thing I was told was I would have to get a learner's pernit since I had not had a USA state drivers license in several years, to I was also going to have to go to driving school….the written tert I passed. There finally was a lady who pulled up my driver's information by where, approximate date, my name, birthdaye, social security number and it was chsnged to where I did nit have to do any of it. I had a clean driving record and I am so grateful I did not have to go to squere one and get a learner's permit and go to driver's school.
When I got home at 5:10 and missed lunch, I ate and then laud down. I fell asleep until 12:44am. Sonwatching you now.

You seem so, so much like your Dad. I wouldnt necessarily say a Daddy's girl but you seem a lot like him. I wasnt a Daddy's girl per se but I am a LOT like him. I know you are greatful that he is in your life still. I will tell you that you never stop missing your parents when they are gone. Never.

Lol that coffee mug is as big as your head😂 Your dad is awesome. I also lived in southern California in the 60s and 70s. It was a great time. Thanks for the interview. Your children will love to watch this in 10 years from now to get to know their Gpops. The Beach Boys lived 2 blocks away from me in Hawthorn. Great video. Blessings to you and your family 😊

I had to watch the replay. Had a dr appointment and missed the whole thing! Your dad is awesome! Actually reminds me of my first husband the way he lit up like a Christmas tree reminiscing about his career in the military. We were military for 18 years and lived all over. I absolutely love your cup. What an awesome gift! Sorry you lost footage, but sounds like you had a great visit! Thank you for bringing us along, Carolina! Hugs to you all 🥰

Your dad seems really cool. He isn't lying, the 70's styles and time in California was the best. 😊 I love the insight he gave on military service. What an exciting childhood you had. Very cool! When you drank out of that huge mug, LOL 😂

I am a Canadian military brat. My dad was a crew commander in a tank. I have lived all over Canada as a child. I have been in every province in Canada except for the territories. I remember my dad going away for 8, 9, 10 months, even over a year at times. I hated it then, but I realized now that I got an education I could never get in a classroom.
