    Good recipe because of its simplicity.. An alternative would be to to marinate in a mixture of vinegar, paprika, pepper and salt and then saute the meat. Keep aside and in the main pan saute the onions, add the garlic, a little sliced ginger, turmeric (a pinch), paprika or red chilli powder, a pinch of coriander powder, lots of tomato paste, and dried herbs (rosemary and thyme). Add the sauteed meat , the water or stock, stir a while over medium flame. You can then slow cook over flame or finish in an oven. Bachelor's standby especially if you like a spiced meal.

    Sarah is my favorite I have tried her recipes and so far every one has turned out,  Her recipes don't have a 100 ingredients and they are fast and great. I going for the beef stew now my favorite comfort food.
